POSITION : Manager – SC planning

REPORTS TO : Manager – SC

Location : Nashik, Maharashtra

Primary Function:

To manage the Planning Operations (Purchase + Production planning). Key responsibilities cover:

Procurement of raw/packaging material in line with GMI specification, Production planning and consequent inventory planning Providing periodic MIS around planning function.

Responsibilities:

Ensure effective material procurement and production planning to balance optimal inventory management v/s adequate stock cover of material for production. This is key as it has a direct impact on the customer service. Point of contact for internal & external stakeholders regarding daily operational activity to ensure supply availability & schedule adherence, cost optimization, contract execution and adherence, and delivery of initiatives supporting both top and bottom-line financials. Processes & documents all PO transactions in an efficient and accurate manner by working with Purchase Manager, Category Managers, and key stakeholders in the business units. Planning procurement in close co-ordination with sourcing, planning functions to ensure materials are made available to meet the plan. Executes P2P rollouts within team. Minimizes the total cost of transactions without impacting service levels. Collaborate with vendors to help them meet GMI requirements in terms of quality, OTIF, technical support, etc. Interface with category buyers to support strategic sourcing initiatives. Monitor working capital elements to optimize CWC objectives in co-ordination with planning, finance. Generate monthly MIS report of actual costs (all components of COGs), report exceptions, analyze variances for timely decision-making. Managing the interface with CHA, import team and the factory for the import consignments on the RM side. Vendor transitions on cost savings/SQM initiatives and due to operational reasons Managing artwork timeline tracker to execute innovations and statutory compliances. Supplier performance reviews and feedback to SRM team.

Preferred Education & Experience:

Engineering graduate / Graduate with postgraduate qualification in Materials Management / Operations Management with 6 + years’ experience in a similar function. Good Negotiation skills, analytical skills and flair for numbers are requisites. Interpersonal skills to work across functions, execution excellence, team handling experience, process design skills.
