Cyber Security AnalystRoleOur organization isseeking a Cyber Security Analyst to evaluate and secure ourcomputernetwork. You will be responsible forintroducing cybersecurity best practices conductingriskand vulnerability assessments ensuringcompliance with security protocols andprotectingsensitive data information systemsand databases. The ideal candidate will perform damageandrisk mitigations identify threats andhave experience instructing employees aboutcybersecuritybestpractices.Cyber SecurityAnalyst DutiesMonitor andsecure networks of computers including all software andhardwarecomponentsHelpprevent and manage security breaches by performing risk andremediationassessmentsInstaland monitor firewallsEnsure all staffdevices are secureTeach cybersecurity bestpractices to employees across theorganizationMonitoring and safeguarding thelog sources and security accessPlanning fordisaster recovery in the event of any securitybreachesMonitor for attacks intrusions andunusual unauthorized or illegalactivityPerforms moderately complex logreviews and forensic analysis toidentifyunauthorized or unacceptable accessto data or systemsConduct securityassessments risk analysis and root cause analysis ofsecurityincidentsHandlingincidents escalated by the L1 team in 24x7 rotationalshiftsUse advanced analytics tools todetermine emerging threat patterns andvulnerabilities.Completing all tacticalsecurity operations tasks associated with thisengagement.Analyses all the attacks and comeup with remedial attack analysisConductdetailed analysis of incidents and create reports anddashboardsStakeholder coordination &audit assistanceLiaise with stakeholders inrelation to cyber security issues and provide futurerecommendationsMaintain an informationsecurity risk register and assist with internal and external auditsrelating to information securityAssist withthe creation maintenance and delivery of cyber security awarenesstraining for colleaguesAdvice and guidanceto employees on issues such as spam and unwanted or maliciousemails
CyberSecurity AnalystRequirementsExperienceworking in a cybersecurity departmentIndepthknowledge of various computer networks and firewallsystemsKeen understanding of cybersecurityvulnerabilities and hackingmethodsExperience instructing employeesregarding cybersecurity bestpractisesCommunication skills and attentionto detailBachelors degree in cybersecuritycomputer science programing ordatabaseadministration
