Sportskeeda basketball is lookingfor an Assistant Content Manager to lead the NBA/College Basketballvertical. Your primary responsibilities would include working withthe content team journalists SEOs and editors to grow the verticalin terms of content production quality timelines innovation traffichiring and revenue.


KeyResponsibilities:


  • Collaborate with the Content Managerand Senior Content Managers to develop a comprehensive contentstrategy for the NBA/College Basketball vertical aligned with theoverall sports vertical strategy and different events throughoutthe season.

  • Monitor and achieve traffic targetsset for various sources (Search Social Affiliate etc.). Identifyemerging market and content trends to diversify and keep contentfresh and engaging for both NBA/College Basketball audiences.

  • Brainstorm and assigninnovative topics create datadriven content schedules oversee andchampion daily operations. Train and onboard new writersfamiliarizing them with Sportskeedas tools processes and editorialguidelines.

  • Maintain highcontent quality standards for both NBA/College Basketball contentfocusing on Sportskeeda s editorial aspects analytics and audienceengagement.

  • Comanage the content team ensuringefficient workflow meeting daily quotas and addressing any issuesquickly.

  • Streamline operations tomeet content business goals such as increasing website visits adimpressions and revenue for the NBA/College Basketballverticals.

  • Take full ownership of daily contentexecution for NBA/College Basketball. Build and maintain contentrepositories creating new buckets as and whenneeded.

  • Track internal content performancemetrics for the respective vertical(s) (average turnaround timefirsttomarket etc.) and identify areas for improvement.

  • Stay uptodate on the latestNBA/College Basketball storylines crafting SEOfriendly headlinesand socialfriendly quotes while adhering to Sportskeedas editorialstandards.

  • Collaboratewith the Content Manager on data analysis and R&D todevelop datadriven insights that build into the existing contentstrategy.

  • Share insights from daily competitormonitoring identify content gaps and work with the Content Manager& the Senior Content Managers to address them.

  • Coordinate and liaise with contenteditorial and SEO teams to ensure timely content delivery and meetinternal targets.

  • Assist Content Managers inrecruiting and buildingYOUR own team forNBA/College Basketball verticals.



Requirements

  • Proven experience as an AssistantContent Manager or similar role in the sports industry (preferablyUS sports)

  • Strong understanding of the USsports market and the key sports involved but not limited toNBA/College Basketball landscape (read: NFL/College Football)including current trends storylines and keyplayers

  • Proven ability to manage andprioritize multiple taskssimultaneously

  • A strong analytical and datadrivenapproach to contentcreation

  • Excellent written and verbalcommunication skills with a passion for creating engaging sportscontent

  • Experience with Search EngineOptimization (SEO) bestpractices

  • Experience working in a fastpaceddeadlinedrivenenvironment

  • Familiarity with content managementsystems (CMS) and content creationtools

  • Excellent organizationaldocumentation skills and the ability to manage multiple taskssimultaneously pertaining to the dynamic nature of the job and theindustry

  • Ability to lead and motivate ateam

  • A good sense of humor communicationskills and a sense of empathy should be able to work with a teamthat has people from different nationalities ethnicities andbackgrounds
