1. Specify instrumentation valves electricaland control system required to operate Oil field process equipmentper client specifications
industry standards andguidelines.
2. The individual will be responsible forinterfacing directly with the local engineering team as well as theregional offices to ensure
compliance with Projectrequirements. Objectives 3. Knowledge and exposure of offshore andOnshore Industry Design and International standards & Codes.Uses judgment based on the analysis of information. Has the abilityto apply knowledge to address and resolve a variety of
complex technical issues using proven and new approachesand
techniques. Develop ability to independentlyovercome obstacles when executing
projects and resolveproblems by identifying and selecting solutions
throughthe application of acquired technical experience. Ability to reviewP&IDs for complex process equipment. Ability to size controlvalves relief valves and flow measurement devices. Knowledge ofsome materials of construction and their application. Workingknowledge of ISA guidelines and symbols for instrumentation.Familiar with applicable International Codes & Standards likeASME ISA
and API guidelines. Ability to workcooperatively with various company departmentsassociated
with designing estimating fabricatingoperating and selling this
equipment. Ability to workindependently with minimal supervision. Ability to utilize WordExcel PowerPoint and engineering design
programs.

1. Demonstrate command of mosttechnical skills and principles within the field ofinstrumentation.
2. Evaluate customer specifications toconfirm design compliance for the application.
3. Reviewcustomer specifications to match specifications or clearly definedifferences (clarifications or exceptions list).
4.Provide cost estimates for instrumentation valves specialty itemsspare parts field instrument and hookup and control systemfor
proposals within the scope of supply and clientspecifications.
5. Review P&IDs to confirm correctinstrumentation symbol and control scheme confirm sizes for controlvalve relief valve flow element
and mounting nozzles forinstrumentation.
6. Assist in developing P&IDs toensure compliance with client specifications and/or standard pipingspecifications.
7. Recommend specify and preparerequisition for inquiry and purchase of instrumentation &Actuated valves
8. Perform Control valve sizing Reliefvalve sizing Flow element sizing.
9. Recommend Controlvalve Shutdown valve Level instruments Pressure Temperature &Flow instruments best suited for application.
10.Technical bid Evaluation of field instruments like Pressure Gauges/ Transmitters Temperature Gauges / Transmitter Level Gaugesall
Level transmitters Flow instruments Control ValvesShutdown valves Pressure Safety valves & Analyzers.
11. Participate in client or internal HAZOP.
12.Coordinate with Engineering Department to identify equipment thatrequires spare parts per client
specifications. Prepareproject commissioning and operation spare parts lists.
13. Provide installation instructions and dimensional drawingsduring vessel/piping design and fabrication phases.
14.Assist in providing hookup details to I&E contractor forinstallation of instrumentations.
15. Review and approvesubcontractor field instrument and electrical hookup scope andensure scope meets client specifications or
standard.
16. Coordinate with product team to reviewsubcontractor control system design and ensure scope meets clientspecifications
17. Provide preliminary instrument andvalve weights.
18. Preparation of Cable Block DiagramCable schedule Review vendor drawings hookup calculation and othertechnical documentation
related toinstrumentations.
19. Perform final inspection forinstrumentation and valves.
20. Participate in FactoryAcceptance Test (FAT) for
21. Perform Peer Reviews ofteam design work.
22. Provide technical support fortrouble shooting.Activities
