Job Summary:

As a Red Hat OpenShift Administrator, you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and maintaining Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform environments. Your primary focus will be on ensuring the availability, scalability, and security of containerized applications while collaborating with development and infrastructure teams.


Key Responsibilities:

 Manage Openshift Container Platform

Deployment and Configuration:

 Deploy and configure Red Hat OpenShift clusters according to best practices.

 Set up and maintain cluster authentication, RBAC (Role-Based Access Control), and security policies.

 Control access to resources

 Configure networking components

 Configure pod scheduling

 Configure cluster scaling

 Managing OpenShift clusters from the command-line interface and from the web console.

 Troubleshooting network connectivity between applications inside and outside of an OpenShift cluster.

 Connecting Kubernetes workloads to storage for application data.

 Configuring Kubernetes workloads for high availability and reliability.

 Managing updates to container images, settings, and Kubernetes manifests of an application.

 Customize cluster configurations to meet specific application requirements.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting:

 Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to cluster operations and application deployments.

 Perform regular system checks and updates to ensure optimal cluster performance.

 Implement high availability and disaster recovery strategies for OpenShift clusters.

Security and Compliance:

 Ensure the security of OpenShift environments by applying security patches, access controls, and network policies.

 Monitor and enforce compliance with security standards and regulations.

Backup and Disaster Recovery:

 Develop and maintain backup and recovery procedures for OpenShift clusters. 


Qualifications:


 Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).

 Experience with Red Hat OpenShift Container Platform.

 RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE) or Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) certification is essential.

 Red Hat Certified Open Shift Administrator ( EX180/280 ) is an added advantage

 Strong knowledge of Linux systems administration.

 Proficiency in Kubernetes and container technologies (Docker).

 Scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) and experience with automation tools (e.g., Ansible)

 Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) is desirable.

 Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.

 Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
