THEORGANIZATION:As aBuyer within the Shared Services team you will manage procurementactivities related to vessel operations ensuring timely acquisitionof goods and services. You will collaborate with variousdepartments vessels and category leads to support operational needsoversee vendor management negotiate contracts and ensurecosteffective purchasing while maintaining high standards ofquality and compliance. Your role will involve working closely withvessels responding to requisitions via Oracle Supply Chain andensuring the efficient delivery ofsupplies.


KEYRESPONSIBILITIES

  • Performdaytoday purchasing activities ensuring safe and timely delivery ofrequisitions raised byvessels.
  • Handleendtoend procurement processes including sourcing negotiation andissuance of Purchase Orders(POs).
  • Managerelationships with vendors suppliers and local ship chandlersensuring optimal performance and adherence to frameagreements.
  • Ensurecompliance with procurement policies and communicate effectivelywith Category Leads regarding prices anddeliveries.
  • Monitorand coordinate international shipments and logistics to meetoperationaldeadlines.
  • Addressand resolve supply chain issues raised directly by vesselsproviding feedback to Captains andSuperintendents.
  • Trackand report key metrics to ensure costeffectiveness and maintainaccurate procurementrecords.
  • Analyzemarket trends and supplier performance to make informed purchasingdecisions.
  • Collaboratewith internal teams to forecast requirements and continuouslyimprove service quality andproductivity.


Requirements
  • Bachelors degree in Maritime Supply Chain Management or relatedfields.
  • Minimumof 5 years of experience in procurement preferably within theshipping marine or heavyindustries.
  • Provenability to manage highvolume requisitions and ensure timelydeliveries.
  • Exposureto logistics and shipping regulations including customs andcompliance.
  • Stronginterpersonal and stakeholder management skills with the ability tocommunicate effectively at alllevels.
  • Abilityto work under high stress levels handling multiple tasks withinlimited timeframes in a structuredmanner.
  • Stronganalytical and commercial skills focusing on costeffectivesolutions while understanding the broader businesscontext.
