Workplace Health and Safety Communications Specialist, WHS Safety Engagement In-Building Experience

To support this vision, Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) is seeking a creative, self-motivated, and analytical internal communications specialist to join our WHS worldwide Safety Engagement (SE) team. This individual will support the execution of programs at field level.
The candidate will work with broad stakeholder groups across global Workplace Health and Safety and Operations organizations. They will be strongly collaborative and have the capacity to move quickly and concisely to get things done. The ideal candidate is a constant learner and detail oriented to execute field level programs to our WHS teams. Ideally having a strong project management background while developing creative, data driven, internal communication materials that have clear, measurable outcomes. They are an idea generator and builder of mechanisms that scale, with a strong sense of accountability, and a keen focus on delivering great customer experiences.

Key job responsibilities
Own execution of site level WHS programs, campaigns on WHS and partner owned channels, in partnership with Ops internal communications.
•Work closely with the WHS SE team to effectively ground business level safety campaigns in available data
•Leverage and ensure the consistent utilization of existing WHS key messages, program materials, and approved assets across WHS globally
•Consistently identify opportunities to Invent and Simplify, creating scalable mechanisms and consistent experiences for employees regardless of region or role
•Navigate a heavily matrixed organization and influence a wide range of stakeholders who may have competing priorities
•Serve as translations liaison with our translations partners to ensure consistency, scalability and timely translations are executed
•Working with our internal procurement team on new materials are being added in a timely and consistent manner
•Owning approval process end-to-end to get sign-off with stakeholders and partners
•Copyedit and provide derivatives for our channels
•Regularly updating project status in Asana and communicating internal requests for design support
•Regularly support issues through the team’s on-call rotation

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 2+ years of program or project management experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- 2+ years of recent professional communications or public relations experience
- Exemplary written and oral communication skills in English

- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
- Team player who is willing to roll up their sleeves to get the job done
- Experience maintaining composure and steady vision in a fast moving, dynamic environment
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity
- Business savvy with high judgment
- Ability to dive deep into the data, yet able to step-back and communicate both the strategic and immediate implications on priorities
- High attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing projects and priorities simultaneously
- Design or media savvy, ability to learn new programs and skills
