What You Will BeDoing

  • Lead and Mentora team of Clinical Data Programmers Create and test SAS code usedfor standard and nonstandard data file creation; Review Clariostandard and nonstandard data specifications.
  • Attend client meetings as appropriate to understand data collectionrequirements.
  • Review standard CLARIO andnonstandard data specifications and interact with the Data Manager(DM) to finalize specifications.
  • Developprograms to create Clario standard and nonstandard datafiles.
  • Participate in the validation ofencoding programs which generates CLARIO standard and nonstandarddata files.
  • Performing adhoc programmingactivities utilizing raw data based on internal and externalrequests for:
  • Esoteric quality control checksrequested by QC.
  • Dataresolution/Mining.
  • Other clientrequirements.
  • Get exposed to allmodalities.
  • Review User Requirements andcreate review and approve Functional and TechnicalSpecifications.
  • Work with data management inproviding programming support for DM activities including datareview.
  • Prepare and participate in internaland external audits.
  • Represent the serviceline through the NPI (New Product Initiative)process.
  • Identify opportunities to improve themethodology and provide practical solutions forproblems.
  • Contribute to the development ofbest practices to improve quality efficiency andeffectiveness.
  • Drive client deliverables byperforming the role of CDP SME when attending Project ManagementData Management or CDO meetings.
  • Organize teamresources to meet client needs.
  • Lead andMentor a team of Clinical Data Programmers:
  • Develop the orientation and training plan for assigned ClinicalData Programing personnel.
  • Oversee training ofnew Clinical Data Programmers.
  • Assist withorientation and training of personnel as determined bymanagement.
  • Contribute to process development.Review and development of SOPs and associated documents related toClinical Data Programming activities.
  • Completeadministrative tasks as needed within Clinical DataProgramming.
  • Mentoring other Clinical DataProgramming resources.
  • Participate in new hireinterviews and provide feedback to management

What We Look For

  • BS/BA Degree in Life Sciences or related fieldpreferred or BS/BA Degree in computer sciences or relatedfield
  • SAS ADVANCEDcertified
  • Ideally five or more years ofexperience in a pharmaceutical company or a CRO as a SAS Programmerexperience in SAS/BASE SAS/MACRO and SAS/SQL products andprocedures and one or more years of experience in database designand data structures
  • Understanding of thepharmaceutical drug development process as gained through a minimumof five years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcareindustry.
  • Strong organization analytical andcommunication skills.
  • Detailoriented
  • Extensive experience inimplementing CDISC SDTM and Define standards including EG CO DM REVS SUPP CDISC SDTM domains.
  • Experience withWindows and Microsoft Office productspreferred.
  • Strong written and verbalcommunication skills.
  • Fluency in English(spoken and written).
  • Experience with anotherprogramming languages is a plus.
  • Provenexperience working with large complex realworld data sets (morespecifically patient data)
  • Knowledge oftechnical and regulatory requirements related to therole.
  • Excellent time management skillscontributing to multiple projects with competingtimelines.
  • Leadership/Mentoring skills: Provenability to motivate people instill accountability and achieveresults.

Prior leadershipexperience a plus.
