OverviewThe positionof Professor in Obstetrics and Gynecology (OBG) at the MedicalCollege is a key role responsible for leading the academic andclinical aspects of the department. The role is pivotal in shapingthe curriculum conducting research and providing clinical guidanceto students and staff. The Professor OBG plays a crucial part inupholding the medical colleges reputation for excellence in womenshealthcare and academic prowess.KeyResponsibilities
  • Teaching andmentoring medical students and residents in OBG principles andpractices.
  • Developing and revising curriculumand educational materials.
  • Conducting andpublishing research in relevant medicaljournals.
  • Supervising and participating inpatient care within the OBG department.
  • Guidingand participating in clinical trials andstudies.
  • Leading departmental meetings andcontributing to strategicplanning.
  • Participating in professionaldevelopment and continuing medicaleducation.
  • Maintaining active involvement inprofessional OBG associations andnetworks.
  • Engaging in community outreach andpatient education programs.
  • Assisting in therecruitment and evaluation of faculty andstaff.
  • Participating in administrative andgovernance activities within the medicalcollege.
  • Collaborating with other medicaldepartments on interdisciplinary research andinitiatives.
  • Providing expert consultations tocolleagues and healthcareprofessionals.
  • Ensuring compliance with medicalstandards and regulations.
  • Supervising andsupporting students research projects anddissertations.
RequiredQualifications
  • Doctor of Medicine(MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO)degree.
  • Board certification in Obstetrics andGynecology.
  • Proven experience in academicleadership and curriculum development.
  • A strongtrack record of published research in reputable medicaljournals.
  • Active license to practicemedicine.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated clinicalexpertise in OBG including surgicalskills.
  • Experience in supervising and mentoringmedical students and residents.
  • Advocacy forwomens health and wellbeing.
  • Ability to work ina diverse and multicultural academicenvironment.
  • Commitment to ethical andprofessional conduct in allactivities.
  • Experience in grant writing andsecuring research funding.
  • Proven ability tocollaborate with multidisciplinary healthcareteams.
  • Knowledge of healthcare policies andregulations.
  • Strong organizational and timemanagementskills.
