Mission

Lead and deliver critical software projects, expand and develop the engineering team, and enhance development processes to significantly improve product quality and team productivity within the next 6 months.


Key Outcomes

1. Project Completion

  • Deliver 3 major projects within the next 6 months, ensuring they are completed on schedule and under the allocated budget.

  • Meet all project specifications and quality standards, resulting in successful deployments and positive stakeholder feedback.


2. Team Expansion and Development

  • Identify, recruit, and onboard 3  competent junior engineers within the next 6 months.

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive training programme that enables new hires to become fully productive within 3 months of their start date.

  • Mentor and support the professional growth of the junior engineers, fostering a high-performance team culture.


3. Process Improvement and Productivity Enhancement

  • Improve the development and testing strategy to achieve a 70% reduction in the number of bugs produced within the next 6 months.

  • Implement best practices such as code reviews, automated testing, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.

  • Set up Large Language Models (LLMs) as part of the development workflow, aiming to increase productivity per engineer by 20% in the next 6 months.

  • Train the engineering team on effectively utilising LLM tools for coding assistance, documentation, and problem-solving.

Requirements

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in software engineering roles with a track record of delivering projects successfully.

  • Demonstrated experience in spotting, training, and retaining junior engineers.

  • Proven ability to lead teams and improve development processes.


Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in ReactNative, Android & iOS development

  • Experience with software development methodologies and testing frameworks.

  • Familiarity with Large Language Models (LLMs) and their application in software development.
