This is a remote position.

Our client a fresh produce distributor is looking for aSenior Accountant who will be responsible for performing andanalyzing activities related to product costing expenditure productmanufacturing analysis and inventory evaluation and makingrecommendations to reduce financial wastage and increaseprofitability for the region. Additionally it involves performingmoderately complex accounting activities to maintain a complete andaccurate general ledger management reports and financial statementsto maximize the region s cash flow and minimize bad debts. Thisrole will report regional financial results on a monthly basis tomanagement to appraise the companys actual performance againsttargets for the region.

  • Working hours will be 9am5pm Brazil StandardTime (GMT3)

Responsibilitiesinclude:


  • Manage the region s debtors book: customerinvoicing distributor commission calculation and paymentsreceivables management receivablesreconciliation.
  • Daily bankprocessing: both local and foreign banktransactions.
  • Contact andmanagement of BPOs (Business Partners Outsourced) that performlocal accounting in the countries.
  • Monthly tax evaluation/preparation with BPOs andsubmission to authorities in the countries of theregion.
  • Stock control managementand monthly stock takes.
  • Assistwith the creation and maintenance of bills of materials for thesite and product cost calculations.
  • Perform monthend and yearend close processes includingjournal processing and monthly balance sheetreconciliations.
  • Assist withbudgeting and forecasting.
  • ERPsystem setups: Business Partner master data setup/maintenance andmaterial master data setup/maintenance.
  • Assist in the completion of the annual statutory auditand annual group audit.

Requirements
  • A Bachelor s degree inAccounting
  • Preference for licensedCPA or chartered accountant
  • 5 yearsexperience in a similar role
  • Experience with SAP is a plus
  • Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Proper knowledge of product costingcalculations/maintenance.
  • Knowledgeof accounting regulations.
  • Advancedknowledge of MS Excel and accounting software
  • Working hours will be 9am5pm Brazil Standard Time(GMT3)
