Deputy General Manager for LegalDepartment

A Graduate or PostGraduate in Law and Enrolled as an advocate with
BarCouncil

Remuneration As applicable to ScaleVI officer (under new pay structure)

Experience and Eligibility

Persons having work experience in a Bank or FinancialInstitution for
minimum 15 years in LegalDepartment.
Preferably AGM and above cadre in Public /Private Sector scheduled
commercial banks or EquivalentCadre in NBFC/Financial
Institutions with exceptionalexperience in Legal Department.
Sound knowledge of CivilCriminal Cyber Law IBC Company law
and Bankinglaws

Others

Novigilance case or adverse observation from RBI/StatutoryAuthority
shall be pending against the candidateidentified for appointment as the
DGM LegalDepartment.

Roles &Responsibilities:
1. To represent the bank inthe legal matters and to provide legal opinion.
2. Toprovide legal opinions in the matters referred by Regional Officesand other Departments.
3. To head the Legal Departmentand provide guidance to the team in legal vetting of agreementsMOUs Followup of Civil Criminal suits
4. Mandatoryreporting to regulatory authorities
5. Periodical reviewof Policies related to Legal matters
6. Periodicalupdate of all new enactments/Laws/Judgments etc.
7.Interpret Legal policies guidelines as issued by appropriateauthorities and
disseminate information to all relevantdepartments.
8. Formulate Internal compliance proceduresand guidelines to make sure they satisfy all the demands of localstate and central government laws.
9. Preparelegal/compliance/administrative reports as required and forwardthem to appropriate authorities
10.Capacity to conveyand appraise proper legal solutions observing extant guidelines ofthe Regulators and Bank
