KeyResponsibilities:

TechnicalRequirements:

  • Proficiencyin backend programming languages such as JavaScript (Node.js) PHP(Laravel Yii frameworks) Python andJava.
  • Expertisein designing and implementing RESTful and GraphQLAPIs.
  • Experiencewith serverless architectures and containerization technologieslike Docker andKubernetes.
  • Indepthknowledge of cloud services (AWS Azure Google Cloud) includingcomputing storage database networking and securityservices.
  • Experiencewith infrastructure such as code (IaC) tools such as Terraform orAWS CloudFormation.
  • Strongunderstanding of both SQL (e.g. MySQL PostgreSQL) and NoSQL (e.g.MongoDB Cassandra) databasetechnologies.
  • Proficiencyin database design optimization and management for highloadenvironments.
  • Experiencewith continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD)pipelines and tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI/CD GitHubActions).
  • Familiaritywith monitoring and logging tools (e.g. Prometheus Grafana ELKstack).
  • Expertisein caching mechanisms and database scalingconfigurations.

Security:
  • Proficiencyin implementing security protocols encryption standards and dataprotectionlaws.
  • Experiencewith OAuth JWT and other authenticationmechanisms.
  • Knowledgeof common security vulnerabilities (OWASP Top 10) and how topreventthem.

TeamManagement:
  • CodeReviews: Regular detailed code reviews to assess code qualityadherence to standards and implementation of best practices. Thisalso includes evaluating the teams ability to write clean efficientand maintainablecode.
  • PerformanceMetrics: Use key performance indicators (KPIs) such as deliverytimelines bug rates and system performance metrics to evaluate theteamseffectiveness.
  • ProjectOutcomes: Evaluate the success of projects in terms of meetingrequirements staying within budget and delivering on time. Thisincludes assessing the teams ability to work collaboratively andadapt tochanges.
  • ProfessionalDevelopment: Assess each team members growth in technical skillsknowledge sharing and contributions to the teams success. Encouragecontinuous learning and provide opportunities for professionaldevelopment.
  • Leadershipand Initiative: Evaluate team members abilities to take initiativelead by example and contribute to strategic discussions. Thisincludes their participation in planning problemsolving andinnovation.


Requirements
  • 10years of software development experience.
  • Minimum 5years in backenddevelopment.
  • 3years leading backendprojects.
  • Proficiencyin Node.js PHPPython.
  • Strongmicroservices architectureknowledge.
  • Experiencein RESTful and GraphQLAPIs.
