Responsibilities

Provide management and employees withcompetent EHS advice and action plans. Provide guidance and support tomanagement on the promotion and implementation of the EHS strategies,procedures, guidelines and goals for continuous improvements, at all sitesassigned in the region. Provide enabling support to managementon the implementation of EHS strategies, procedures, guidelines and legislationto achieve the goals and objectives of the company. Ensure that environment and healthimpacts and significant risks are identified, reviewed and communicated andprovide active support in mitigating such risks/impacts & regular visits tosites to provide practical safe solutions for high-risk activities. Ensure that appropriate measuring andmonitoring of EHS issues is undertaken and reported accurately andtransparently. Provide advice and support toDivision/BU management on EHS compliance. Provide assistance in the completion ofrisk assessments & JSA where required and ensure that they are regularly reviewed,and mitigation measures are undertaken. Ensure that all accidents, diseases,dangerous occurrences are reported to the relevant statutory bodies asapplicable within the defined legal framework and timelines. Ensure all accidents and near misses arerecorded, reported and investigated in accordance with the company accident andreporting procedures, and all corrective/preventive actions are identified,implemented and reviewed. Ensure defined KPIs, initiatives,measures and accident and incident statistics are compiled accurately andreported to the Head of Country EHS and Division CEOs in a transparent andtimely manner. Ensure relevant EHS records (e.g. policydocumentation, risk assessments, safety data sheets, registers, fire drills andtraining records etc.) are maintained and updated as and when necessary. Ensure provision is made for allemployees, including temporary staff and contractors, to receive effective andsufficient training and instruction by way of the company’s EHS competencydevelopment program. Act on employee complaints relating toHealth, Safety or Welfare, communicate through the relevant company channelsand bring to the attention of the concerned authorities as required. Ensure updated information of legalrequirements, hazards in the work place company EHS policy and procedures. Encourage the participation andinvolvement of all employees in EHS issues and ensure that all complaintsand/EHS breaches are dealt with promptly and effectively. Ensure adequate supplies of effectivePPE, as specified by risk assessments, are readily available for thoseemployees visiting clients’ premises. Qualification(Mandatory):

Degree or recognized Diploma in Engineering or Science Degree or recognized Diploma in Occupational Health and Safety from ADIS(RLI/CLI) / State GOVT recognized institute or Premium Institute of the Nation like, IIT,NITIE & NICMAR

Desirable

Degree or recognized Diploma inIndustrial Hygiene /Environmental management Certified Lead Auditor Certified accident investigator Chartered member of professionalOccupational, Health and Safety bodies (IOSH / NEBOSH)

Experience (Mandatory):

Minimum 10 years of experience in EHSfunction. Strong experience in ‘on the job’coaching Fluent English both spoken and written(TOEIC > 730 or equivalent).

Desirable

Significant experience in construction,manufacturing, engineering or project management Experience in Sustainable Development
