We are looking for a xBT Transition & Migration Management Specialist

As xBT Transition & Migration Management Specialist within theSHERPAX IT Project Business, you will play a pivotal role in orchestrating theseamless transition of IT systems and data from existing environments tomodernized SAP S4 systems. Your expertise will be important in ensuring theefficiency, security, and effectiveness of migration processes, contributingdirectly to the success of the project.

You’ll make a difference by:

Transition Planning and Strategy: Develop comprehensive transition plans in collaboration with project stakeholders, ensuring alignment with project goals, timelines, and budgetary constraints. Define transition objectives, scope, and deliverables, establishing clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability within the transition team. Strategy Development: Collaborate with project collaborators to develop comprehensive migration strategies aligned with project objectives. Assess current IT infrastructure and formulate migration plans that minimize disruption and improve efficiency. Technical Leadership: Provide technical leadership and guidance to the migration team, ensuring consistency to best practices and standards. Oversee the design and implementation of migration workflows, tools, and methodologies. Risk Management: Identify potential risks and challenges associated with migration activities and develop mitigation strategies. Implement robust contingency plans to address unforeseen issues during migration processes. Quality Assurance: Establish quality assurance measures to validate data integrity, system functionality, and performance post-migration. Conduct thorough testing and validation exercises to ensure successful migration outcomes. Documentation and Reporting: Maintain detailed documentation of migration processes, including configurations, procedures, and outcomes. Generate regular progress reports and present updates to project collaborators, highlighting key achievements, challenges, and breakthroughs. Collaboration and Communication: Foster collaboration and communication across multi-functional teams involved in the migration process. Serve as a liaison between IT teams, business collaborators, and external vendors to facilitate smooth coordination and alignment. Continuous Improvement: Continuously evaluate and optimize migration processes to enhance efficiency, reliability, and scalability. Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in migration management, integrating relevant advancements into project strategies. Training and Mentoring: Provide training and mentorship to junior team members, empowering them with the skills and knowledge vital for successful migration execution. Foster a culture of learning and professional development within the migration team.

You’ll win us over by:

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in computer science, Information Technology, or related field (Master's degree preferred). Demonstrable experience in leading large-scale migration projects within complex IT environments. Extensive knowledge of migration methodologies, tools, and technologies. Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate team members. Superb communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to interface optimally with collaborators at all levels. Demonstrable understanding of risk management, quality assurance, and project management principles. Relevant certifications (e.g., PMI's Project Management Professional, ITIL, AWS/Azure) are a plus.
