This is a remote position.

We are seeking aAndroid Engineer who can develop and maintain and enhance ourmobileapplications.

Responsibilities:
  • Design and developmobile solutions for our existing and new features usingKotlin
  • Analyze user storiesprovide realistic estimations and participate in sprint planningscrums demos andretrospectives.
  • Collaborate withproduct and other stakeholders to define scalable maintainablesolutions within budget andtimelines.
  • Develop detailedmobile software documentation and assist in task assignment forteammembers.
  • Build stableperformant mobile applications focusing on user experience andinnovation.
  • Recommendimprovements to processes technologies and coding practices toenhance teameffectiveness.
  • Stay updated with thelatest technologies and trends to provide creative solutions toboth existing and newproblems.
  • Maintain focus andproblemsolve in a dynamic fastpaced environment withcrossfunctionalteams.

Requirements
  • 7 years of experiencein building highly scalable and performant productionapplications.
  • Strong experiencewith Android Studio modern design patterns such as MVVM etc. andAgile/Scrum methodologies for building consumerfacingapplications.
  • A thorough knowledgeof the Android SDK architecture components and Jetpack libraries(such as LiveData ViewModel and Navigation) coupled with a strongpassion for ongoing learning and staying uptodate with industrytrends
  • Proficiency inKotlin. Strong understanding of Kotlin syntax and features (e.g.coroutines extension functions null safety dataclasses).
  • Strong expertise inenhancing user interfaces through the interoperability of AndroidViews and JetpackCompose.
  • Proficiency in Javaprogramming basic to advanced features (like generics collectionsandmultithreading).
  • Proven ability tocontribute to the full development cycle including technical designdevelopment testing experimentation analysis and productlaunch.
  • Excellentcollaboration skills to communicate about software processesarchitectures and design patterns across variousteams.
  • Experience working inan Agile Team consisting of product managers project managersdesign QA andtech.
  • Solid understandingof mobile development principles patterns and best practicesrelated to application development concepts designs andarchitectures.
  • Excellentcommunication skills required to interact with senior leaderstechnical colleagues andpartners.
  • Strong knowledge ofunit testing and continuousintegration.
  • Proactive attitudewith a passion for consumersoftware.

Educationand/or TechnologyRequirement:
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering Information Systems orrelated field/workexperience.
  • Professional experience withrelevant technologies (Java Android SDK Kotlin and architectures tosupport these projectsproperly.

7+years of experience in building highly scalable and performantproduction applications. Strong experience with Android Studio,modern design patterns such as MVVM, etc. and Agile/Scrummethodologies for building consumer-facing applications. Excellent collaboration skills to communicateabout software processes, architectures, and design patterns acrossvarious teams. Experience working in an Agile Team consisting ofproduct managers, project managers, design, QA, and tech. Solidunderstanding of mobile development principles, patterns, and bestpractices related to application development concepts, designs, andarchitectures. Excellent communication skills required to interactwith senior leaders, technical colleagues, and partners. Strongknowledge of unit testing and continuous integration. Proactiveattitude with a passion for consumer software.
