Location: Remote (India)

Time Zone: 1-2 hours overlap from 9 am - 11 am PST

The Custom Bake is transforming the way local bakers connect with customers through our unique multi-vendor marketplace for fresh, custom-made bakery products. What We’re Looking For

We are searching for an experienced Full Stack PHP Developer with a strong focus on frontend development. You’ll have at least 5+ years of experience in WordPress, WooCommerce, PHP, and proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript (React/Vue.js preferred). This role offers a chance to work on exciting projects that involve frontend optimization, user experience enhancements, and creating responsive, visually stunning interfaces.

Key Responsibilities

  • Refactor and optimize the existing marketplace platform for performance, scalability, and user experience.
  • Lead frontend development efforts—ensuring our marketplace is responsive, user-friendly, and visually appealing.
  • Develop and enhance custom WordPress and WooCommerce plugins with a focus on seamless user interaction.
  • Implement features that ensure a smooth user experience across all devices and browsers.
  • Collaborate closely with the team on product design and technical strategies to enhance customer engagement.
  • Integrate third-party services and APIs into the marketplace (payment gateways, delivery platforms).


Requirements

Skills & Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in PHP, WordPress, WooCommerce development.
  • Expert knowledge of frontend technologies—HTML, CSS, JavaScript, with experience in modern frameworks like React or Vue.js.
  • Strong skills in responsive design, cross-browser compatibility, and ensuring UI/UX consistency across the platform.
  • Experience with plugin development, customizations, and e-commerce systems.
  • Familiarity with multi-vendor marketplace setups.
  • A strong desire to learn, problem-solve, and make an impact in a fast-growing startup.
