ROLEOBJECTIVE &DELIVERABLES:

This rolewill operate as the sole and senior TechnologyFinance expert to work alongside a team of technicalresources and lead consultant to help in the shaping of a futurestate technology foundation as a phased programmer utilizing a setof pathways instigated across 3 horizons (Quick wins medium termlong term); each initiative within the horizons framework will needto be understand from a baseline/current cost future run cost andcost to achieve via a set fullycosted business cases developedwithin an 810 week period.

Keydeliverables will be:

1. Currenttechnology costs are fully detailed and documented in a format thatprovides a baseline from which future costs can becompared.

2. Cost forecasted candidate projectsforming part of the overarching transformation programmedprioritized into the 3 horizons of quick wins medium term and longterm.

3. Overarching business case deliverablesdetailing cost to achieve run rate return oninvestment and TCO potentially with options for Capex versus OpenXbias and lease versus own versus full managedservice alongside usual technology options.

4.Potential to include financial comparisons across sourcing andpartner options.

Describe the scope of the abovedeliverables including technologies platforms andservices:

All technologies including hostinglocation (cloud/onprem/Colo) compute storage networkbackup/restore tooling service management vendors/sourcingworkplace services software licensing and support/maintenance costsproject costs.

KEY SKILLS& EXPERIENCE:

  • The candidatemust have a strong Technology Financebackground spanning at least 10 yearsof technology and finance including fullycosting transformation programmes andinitiatives.
  • Understandtreatments such as handling of Capexand Opex lease versusbuy vendor contract options and charging mechanismsdepreciation tax andregional impacts.
  • Able to adviseon financial models for recharging cost optimizationand simplification of technologyfinance.
  • Perform comprehensive AzureFinOps assessments identifyingcost drivers analyses spending patterns and recommendstrategies for cost optimization acrossAzureCloud
  • Collaborate with clientsto assess and optimize their cloud landscape focusing oncore FinOps principles like cost allocation budgetingforecasting and more.
    Help customersevaluate FinOps maturity and maintain FinOpsFoundation Framework bestpractices.
  • Have astrong understanding of technology productsservices terms and the component make of costs torun various technologies including extensiveexperience of onprem versus cloudcosts.
  • Able to both providedetail in Excel building and utilising financialmodelling and formulae to provide the customer witha reusable artefact for modelling the business casepostengagement.
  • Able to provide reporting atboth detailed and exec summary level for various business caseoptions in PowerPoint and othergraphical representations asrequired.
