Job Title: PS SW Engineer III

Responsibilities

Develop and implement customer specific business requirements for new features, aligned with agreed coding standards and existing object-oriented architecture of the Octane platform, using C++ standard. Development will be using 3rd part libraires, e.g., Boost The job includes maintenance and troubleshooting bugs in existing product. Provide technical guidance new developers in all aspects of current platform development and support. Work with QA team and PM for input for requirements and testing the output. Troubleshoot application problems and design issues.  Octane is currently using the ISO C++ 03 standard. Part of the development will be up against Hardware Protocols, and will require Hardware (Pin Pad/Printer/Scanner etc.)

Qualifications

Must Have

Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Information System or related technical degree At least 4 years of progressively responsible Server/Client programming experience At least 4 years of C++ programming experience Working experience with multithreads Experience with application troubleshooting with the help of logs, memory traces/dumps. Experience with design patterns & SOLID principles Strong collaboration skills Strong coaching skills Analyze, design and implement software mechanisms to improve code stability, performance, and re-usability. Experience with SQL Server/SQL Experience with POS systems. Willing to travel to Denmark for 4-6 month

Preferred/Good to Have

Knowledge of Fuel POS systems Hands on experience with Postman Hands on experience with refactoring
