Job Description: 
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Vegetable Sourcing Specialist to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to manage the procurement of high-quality vegetables from farms, ensuring consistent supply, quality, and timely delivery. This role requires building relationships with farmers, negotiating contracts, and ensuring that sourcing aligns with company standards and sustainability goals.
Required Experience :
Minimum 15 years of experience in vegetable sourcing,  agricultural procurement, or supply chain management. 
Candidate should have worked in Onion, Tomato and Potato category.
Qualifications : MBA/PG/P.HD in Agriculture Extension/ Agriculture and allied / communication

Key Responsibilities:
  •  Establish and maintain strong relationships with local and regional vegetable                  farms.
  •  Regularly visit farms to ensure compliance with product quality standards and               farm practices.
  •  Provide feedback to farmers regarding quality and supply issues.


Sourcing & Procurement:
  • Identify and source a diverse range of vegetables based on company requirements.
  • Coordinate purchasing activities, ensuring timely procurement and delivery.
  • Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with farms to secure competitive rates. 

Requirements:
  • Previous experience in sourcing or supply chain management, ideally in agriculture      or the food industry.
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of quality control standards for fresh produce.
  • Ability to manage logistics and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Basic understanding of inventory management and procurement processes.
  • Familiarity with local farming practices and regional vegetable varieties.
  • Ability to travel to farms and production sites regularly.
 Contract Type: Contract (For initial period of 6 months with a further scope of extension as decided by the competent  authority  )
