Assistant Accounting Manager

The Finance function at Horizontal is looking for a hands-on Assistant Accounting Manager to join and make a meaningful impact to the department. This role reports to the Finance Manager in our Bangalore India office and will be a key contributor to handle the day-to-day accounting needs for our APAC region offices.
What you’ll do:
Calculate and prepare journal entries and balance sheet reconciliations as part of month-end close. Validation of all expenses and internal controls, preparations of monthly provisions and prepaid allocations. Manage Procure to Pay process. Monthly Review of General Ledger, TB Comparison and Bank Reconciliations, prepare Balance sheet schedules. Prepare financial statements (P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow) monthly, quarterly and yearly. Ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles for India and interface for internal and statutory. Audits along with preparing the audit binder. Own the Fixed Asset accounting process, ensuring the company is following company policy. Management of Intercompany Transactions Manage a team of Accountants Self-motivated, organized, and detail driven. Able to work in a fast-paced environment in a growing and expanding company Passionate about accounting, systems, and process improvement. Takes initiative to understand the business and develop productive relationships with business personnel.Who you are:

Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. 3+ years of progressive accounting experience. Thorough Knowledge of India Accounting Standards Thorough knowledge of GST and TDS Experience in Team Management High proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Experience with enterprise accounting systems. Zoho a plus Great communication skills, fluency English Previous professional service industry experience a plus.
