Job Description:

Role : Supply Planner - Domestic

Level : B4

Location : Hyderabad

Job Purpose

This role is responsible for Production Planning of Finished goods produced at our Hyderabad factory for the Pet Nutrition business in India. This includes Planning (MPS), Line Balancing, Scheduling (DPS) and inventory management for the domestic portfolio. The incumbent will also be responsible for Capacity planning accounting for the Demand forecast in the medium and long term.

Job Responsibilities

Demand Supply Balancing

Short Term

Derive Daily/weekly/periodic production plans basis Inventory norms and Demand plan.

Provide business visibility on the inventory levels and stock out concerns through S&OP inputs.

Lead the Production Planning meeting with cross-functional stakeholders (Supply, Factory QFS, Commercial, PD)

Highlight Domestic stocks service level concerns and correct plans/expedite schedules for mitigating supply risks.

Manage escalations around timely delivery of FG.

Analyse the current business trends and plan local production along with the logistics/production teams.

Liaise with the Material planners for lining up timely supplies of RM/PM basis production schedule.

Validation of new FG codes prior to the first production

Medium – Long Term

Derive Production plans (MPS) for the Med-long term and communicate to the respective stakeholders for further action planning (eg MRP, Capacity, Inv projection)

Help the demand team with supply balancing for long-term changes.

Set up the supply pipeline for new products.

FG Shelf-life monitoring and driving actions for managing SLOB.

Negotiate with the Supply stakeholders for defining desirable MOQs for FG production to keep FG inventory levels in check and drive efficient logistics costs.

Align with the stakeholders on potential planned stoppages driving a balance between Storage cost and MCC.

Work with respective partners to mitigate any concern on capacity (Line wise) and recurring issues in supply performance.

Integrated Planning and Scheduling approach balancing Resource planning vs Cash vs Service.

Lead Maturity Assessment for Production Planning & Scheduling Processes 

Preparation of robust action plan and on time execution

Systems

SAP ATLAS for Process orders and Production plan

Thoucentric Planning - MPS, DPS, RCCP and Scenario Planning

Inventory modeling for Domestic Portfolio

MIS and Reporting

Domestic Supply Outlook

Inventory status report.

Production Plan vs Actual (ATP, Factory Service Level)

Capacity Utilization

Education & Professional Qualifications: /./ + MBA

Knowledge / Experience Experience: 2-3 Years in Supply Chain Planning/Logistics operations
