Job Description

As a Civil Designer, you will be responsible for creating detailed designs and plans for various civil engineering projects using AutoCAD software. You will collaborate with engineers and project managers to develop and refine design concepts, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop detailed civil engineering drawings and designs using AutoCAD.
  • Prepare plans for roads, highways, drainage systems, and other infrastructure projects.
  • Collaborate with project engineers and managers to understand project requirements and design specifications.
  • Conduct site visits and surveys to gather necessary data for design development.
  • Review and analyze design drawings and make necessary modifications to meet project standards.
  • Ensure all designs comply with local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines.
  • Prepare and present design documentation, reports, and presentations to clients and stakeholders.
  • Assist in the preparation of project proposals and cost estimates.
  • Maintain and update design records and files.


RequirementsAssociate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Civil Design, or a related field.
Proven experience as a Civil Designer or similar role, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D and other relevant design software (e.g., MicroStation, Civil3D).
Knowledge of civil engineering principles, practices, and regulations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate and high-quality designs.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Experience with GIS and other design tools is a plus.
