Primary Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain Power BI semantic models and reports to provide data insights and visualizations for business users, utilizing Snowflake and Azure Data Warehouse as primary data sourcesDesign, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions crafting and executing queries upon request for dataTranslate business needs to technical specifications and build high-quality BI applications to meet these needsPresent information through reports and visualizations via Power BI – effective in data storytellingIntegrate BI solutions with Azure services including but not limited to ADLS, Snowflake, and other RDBMS and Big Data sourcesDesign, develop, and test BI solutions such as reports, dashboards, and ad hoc data explorationsEnforce data security and compliance with all relevant regulations and best practicesDefine models for the following: star schema, composite, hybrid, and aggregateDesign, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions crafting and executing queries upon request for dataCollaborate with stakeholders to gather and understand requirements, and translate them into technical specifications and data modelsBuild and maintain data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processesDevelop and implement data integration solutions leveraging Azure Cloud, Snowflake, and Azure Data Warehouse technologiesUtilize Python and other programming languages for data manipulation, transformation, and analysis.Utilize Databricks for data engineering and advanced analytics tasksEnsure data quality and accuracy through data validation and testing methodologiesTroubleshoot and resolve data-related issues, performance bottlenecks, and system errorsStay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in data engineering, Power BI, Snowflake, and Azure Cloud technologiesCollaborate with cross-functional teams, including data scientists, business analysts, and software developers, to deliver end-to-end data solutionsComply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives (such as, but not limited to, transfer and/or re-assignment to different work locations, change in teams and/or work shifts, policies in regards to flexibility of work benefits and/or work environment, alternative work arrangements, and other decisions that may arise due to the changing business environment). The Company may adopt, vary or rescind these policies and directives in its absolute discretion and without any limitation (implied or otherwise) on its ability to do so

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field8+ years of experience in data engineering roles, with a focus on Power BI, Snowflake, Azure Data Warehouse, and Azure Cloud technologies5+ years of hands-on experience with Power BI including modeling, solid knowledge and hands-on experience with Power BI semantic model creation, report development, and data visualization, using Snowflake and Azure Data Warehouse as primary data sourcesExperience with ETL processes and data integration using Azure Data FactoryProficiency in Azure Cloud services, including Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Data Warehouse, Azure Data Lake Storage, and Azure AnalyticsSolid programming skills in Python, SQL, and other scripting languagesFamiliarity with Databricks for data engineering, advanced analytics, and machine learning tasksUnderstanding of data modeling concepts and relational database systems, with expertise in Snowflake and Azure Data WarehouseProven excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex data-related issuesSolid communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teamsAbility to adapt to changing priorities and manage multiple tasks simultaneouslyNear real-time data processing, or PBI hybrid table for real-time dataSolid problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneouslyProven excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Preferred Qualification:

Microsoft certifications in Power BI, Azure Cloud, Snowflake, or related fields
