About the role:

We are looking for an experienced Professional in F&A to support country manager. Working in the Gurgaon-based back office of an European Multinational. Individual will be required to engage with the company's stake holders in Europe. Coordinate all the day to day finance activities and assist country manager in preparing monthly accounts.

Exceptional written and spoken English skills are ESSENTIAL. Previous experience working for a multinational organization, serving overseas clients is highly desirable and candidates with such experience will be prioritized. The Gurgaon Office Operates Monday-Friday.

What you will be doing:
  • Preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in accordance with Group accounting principles and financial reporting standards
  • Keeping track of all financial process, purchase orders, invoices, statements, etc.
  • Advising on the improvement of financial management system, internal control system and the use of financial management software
  • Review journal entries of junior accountants to ensure accuracy.
  • Balance sheet reconciliations
  • Oversee all the transactional process (AR, AP & GL).
  • Cost centre analysis
  • Monthly accruals and other ledger journals
  • Preparation of VAT returns
  • Interaction with senior stakeholders  
  • Assisting with audit queries
  • Payment proposal submission to country manager
  • Inventory accounting/closing
  • Coordinating with country manager regarding stock counting
  • Currency revaluations ( AP ,AR, GL, Banks )
  • Train and mentor junior staff.
  • Create an inspiring team environment with an open communication culture
What you need to have:
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a senior finance position
  • Good communication skills in English including verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Strong organisation skills, and ability to work effectively independently or as part of a team
  • Previous experience of ERP system Microsoft D365
  • Strong all round IT knowledge
  • Good knowledge of VAT rules
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Experience in international, multi entity companies
  • Experienced in working with multi-currency set up
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft excel
  • Group reporting experience
  • Demonstrated willingness to be flexible and adaptable to changing priorities.
  • Flexible to work in shift (11.00 am-8.00 pm IST / 12.00 pm-9.00 pm IST) for Italy maybe not necessary
  • Attention to detail
