Role&responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records accounts andledgers.
  • Prepare and review financialstatements balance sheets and profit & lossaccounts.
  • Ensure compliance with accountingstandards and regulations.
  • Analyze financialdata and provide business insights.
  • Coordinatewith auditors bankers and stakeholders.
  • Develop and implement financial processes andcontrols.
  • Supervise and mentor junioraccounting staff.
  • Lead the accounts team withgood leadership quality.
  • Reconcile invoicesSOA and payments.
  • Clear discrepancies ininvoices payments and freight payments.
  • Liaisewith suppliers and buyers for discrepancies.
  • Check and approve payments via various modes.
  • Review open items accruals and expenses for monthendclosing.
  • Prepare monthly AP reconciliationaging listing and GST reports.
  • Perform bankreconciliations and prepare audit schedules.
  • Report daily activities to management.
  • PrepareAP/AR related balance sheet schedules and weeklyreports.
  • Perform closing and reconciliationsfor monthend reporting.
  • Reconcile intercompanydifferences and maintain master sheets for managementreview.
  • Ensure compliance with accountingstandards laws and regulations.
  • Analyzefinancial data identify trends and provide insights for businessgrowth.
  • Coordinate with auditors bankers andother stakeholders.
  • Develop and implementfinancial processes and controls.
  • Superviseand mentor junior accountingstaff.

Requirements:
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles tax laws and financialregulations.
  • Proficient in accounting software(Tally SAP etc.)
  • Should be well versed withwritten communication in English.
  • Excellentanalytical communication and interpersonalskills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meetdeadlines.
  • A candidate who has experience ofindependently working or managing accounts team in an import andexport company and is well versed with international accountingpractices in trading industry should be anadvantage.
