Purchasing Coord

Job Overview
Support the purchasing processes in accordance with policy and procedures. Ensure adherence to the IQVIA Transnational corporate purchasing policy which encourages vendor competition.

Essential Functions
• Create requisitions in purchasing systems.
• Work to resolve customer ticket requests in a timely manner.
• Document updates in ticketing system throughout the procure-to-pay cycle.
• Responsible for requesting quotes from vendors, requesting lead times for products, and discussing alternative options if a product is on backorder.
• Responsible for submitting requisitions in purchasing systems and using the appropriate cost centers for each order.
• Respond to queries from vendors and interact with employees regarding status updates.
• Purchase the highest quality goods/materials with most cost-effective choices, in correct quantities based on what is being requested.
• Utilize reporting information for tracking details or backordered items and make informed decisions for business continuity.
• Follow up on any requests from customers for updates and resend any relevant notifications to approvers or stakeholders.
• Streamline the day-to-day purchasing processes to make purchase to pay process more efficient.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
• High School Diploma or equivalent Required
• 4 years’ relevant experience required -or-
• Equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
• Knowledge of Peoplesoft, SAP, or Coupa Finance modules.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
• Attention to detail.
• Accurate and efficient data entry skills.
• Ability to prioritize own workloads to meet deadlines.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with co-workers and managers.
