Role name : Director – Indian Innovation Hub
Reports to : Chief Technology Officer
Role Summary:
The Technology Director will lead and oversee all technology-related initiatives within Technip Energies’ operations in India. You’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams, drive strategic technology decisions, and ensure alignment with business objectives. This role combines technical expertise, leadership, and a forward-thinking mindset.
Key responsibilities include:
Technology Strategy and Vision:
Develop and communicate a clear technology vision for Technip Energies in India, aligned with the company’s long-term goals. Implement company’s strategy of establishing an innovation hub in India. Identify emerging trends, evaluate their impact, and recommend strategic technology investments.Innovation and R&D:
Implement technology vision and strategy via shaping, forming, and overseeing technology and innovation portfolio, including research and development projects. Foster a culture of innovation by encouraging experimentation, research, and development. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to explore cutting-edge technologies. Engage with industry partners, research institutions, and startups to stay at the forefront of technology and to maximize the benefit of local innovation ecosystem.Digital Transformation:
Lead digital initiatives for technology development, including process automation, data analytics, and Industry 4.0 solutions. Drive the adoption of digital tools to enhance efficiency, productivity, and customer experience.Team Leadership:
Build and lead a high performing technology professional team who innovates and enable ’s business growth in India and around the world. Provide coaching and mentorship, guidance, and career development. Create an inclusive and collaborative work environment that encourages creativity and excellence.Risk Management and Compliance:
Assess technology risks, implement robust security measures, and ensure compliance with industry standards. Mitigate risks related to data privacy, cybersecurity, and intellectual property.Stakeholder Management:
Be an integrated part of the India operating center leadership, collaborate closely with business leaders, T&I organization, project managers, and other departments. Communicate technology strategies, progress, and outcomes to senior management.Desired Skills and Experience:
Strong business acumen with a proven track record in technology and innovation management, preferably 20+ years of relevant experience in the energy sector or a similar industry. A Master’s degree or higher in engineering, technology, or science. A proven track record of leading and delivering innovative solutions and projects, from ideation to implementation. A strong knowledge of the latest trends and developments in energy transition and the relevant technologies and innovations. A strategic and visionary mindset, with the ability to translate ideas into actionable plans and outcomes Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to influence and engage with senior management and external stakeholders. A collaborative and inclusive leadership style, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams and foster a culture of innovation.Starting Date:
