Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant - Cloud Engineering OCI PaaS

In this role, you will be responsible managing and optimizing OCI PaaS offerings, implementing best practices, and ensuring the smooth operation of cloud-based platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in OCI services, with experience in deploying and maintaining PaaS solutions.

Responsibilities
• Deploy, configure, and manage OCI PaaS services such as Oracle Database Cloud Service (DBCS), Oracle Kubernetes Engine (OKE), Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC), and others.
• Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of OCI PaaS solutions.
• Optimize PaaS deployments for cost-efficiency and performance.
• Develop and maintain automation scripts for OCI PaaS deployments using tools such as Terraform, Oracle Resource Manager, or OCI CLI.
• Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to automate provisioning and configuration of PaaS resources.
• Collaborate with development teams to integrate OCI PaaS solutions into CI/CD pipelines.
• Automate application deployment, configuration management, and release processes.
• Implement automated testing and monitoring solutions for OCI PaaS environments.
• Implement security best practices and compliance requirements for OCI PaaS services.
• Conduct regular security assessments and audits, implementing necessary controls and monitoring solutions.
• Manage access controls and identity management (IAM) policies for OCI PaaS resources.
• Monitor the performance and health of OCI PaaS services using tools like Oracle Cloud Monitoring and Oracle Management Cloud.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to OCI PaaS deployments, ensuring minimal downtime and disruption.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers, architects, and operations teams to deliver integrated OCI PaaS solutions.
• Maintain detailed documentation of OCI PaaS environments, configurations, and operational procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to team members and stakeholders.
• Implementing and Managing cloud Hardening Services
• Implementing and Managing IAM and Security Groups
• Managing Cloud Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)
• Managing Incident Forensics
• Managing Security Automation
• Managing Rapid-7 Suite of Products, LPA, cloudsec , EDH (even driven harvesting)
• Managing Rapid-7 Host Monitoring
• Managing and Automating IAM Keys and Secret Manager compliances
• Managing Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR):
• Managing Security Review and Best Practices on All Cloud Services

Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications / Skills
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degrees or relevant professional training are a plus.
• Experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or a related field, with a focus on OCI PaaS solutions.
• Hands-on experience deploying and managing OCI PaaS services in production environments.
• Experience with cloud security practices and compliance standards (e.g., ISO 27001, SOC 2) is advantageous.
• Strong experience with Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) PaaS services.
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform, Oracle Resource Manager, or OCI CLI.
• Experience with scripting languages like Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
• Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management.
• Knowledge of containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes is a plus.

Preferred Qualifications/ Skills

• Relevant certifications such as Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Certified Associate or Professional, or specific OCI PaaS certifications, are preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively interact with technical and non-technical stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify root causes of issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner. Continuous learning mindset and adaptability to new technologies and tools.
• Proven ability to work independently as well as part of a team, with a proactive and self-motivated attitude towards achieving project goals.
