JobDescription:

  • Assume the mantle of design authority and Subject MatterExpert (SME) for the GCP cloud platform steering the course of itsevolution.
  • Collaborate actively with AWS andAzure cloud architects aligning and enhancing the platform andservices provided creating a harmonious cloud ecosystem.
  • Be the technical beacon guiding and advising team membersand those from other business areas as required fostering a cultureof knowledge sharing.
  • Engage directly with thebusiness and business relationship managers clarifying requirementsproblem statements success criteria key assumptions dependenciesand constraints. Your expertise will be key in transforming theseelements into actionable strategies.
  • Buildbridges with regional and global colleagues on regional and globalprogrammes aligning on standards and policies ensuring a unifiedapproach.
  • Work with CISO function to ensuresolution designs meet both Global and regional policies andstandards including consideration for clients PM40 framework aswell as local requirements to ensure that all platforms andassociated services are secure from the ground up.
  • Continue to develop your career technology andcommunications skills and knowledge base. Communications andinfluencing skills are an important aspect of this role.
  • Keep up to date with advances emerging technologies andtrends across all Enterprise Architecture domains.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with strategicpartners and suppliers by attending conferences and by organisingand attending regular supplier workshops.

Essential skills andexperience:

  • Comprehensive knowledge and demonstrable experience ofhosting patterns in onpremises data centres and on public cloudsspecifically GCP including virtual servers virtual storagecontainers serverless computing resilience and recovery patternsRPO & RTO and including intersystem communicationsconstructs including database access thirdparty gatewayssynchronous and asynchronous messaging API's Web Servicestransit networks directory services (AD) integration andmore.
  • Recent Cloud Architecture certificationin GCP. Familiarity with other cloud providers (primarily AWS andAzure) is a plus.
  • Knowledge and demonstrableexperience of cloud connectivity options load balancers networkzoning and segregation proxies DNS DHCP IPAM QOS andmore.
  • Good working knowledge of networksecurity principles and constructs including firewalls DLPMultiFactor Authentication and PAM.
  • Demonstrable experience in bringing the above knowledgeand experience to bear in creating high and low level designs andthen communicating the reasons behind key and potentiallycontentious design constructs.
  • Excellentwritten verbal and presentation communications skills; you willoften find in situations where you have to describe problemstatements solution options your analysis and recommendations to amix of technical nontechnical and Clevel stakeholders and usestrong influencing skills to gain consensus and an agreed wayforward.
  • Able to document and diagramsolutions and technical ideas.
  • Good supplierrelationship management and communications skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective keystakeholder relationships.
