Job Responsibilities
Ownership and scope of PRP (Product Realization Process) interaction and adherence. Generation of the software development process in support of business goals. Responsible for procedural instructions for the team and team resources. Positive collaboration and engagement with all business stakeholders, including the product management team, development team, solution architecture team, and the Spirent support team. Organize, schedule, engage, and manage the software development and quality assurance process as identified for Spirent product requirements in conjunction with customer use cases, collaboratively with product management and development teams. Team review of solution level documentation and training as it applies to installation, configuration, and operation. Support of customer escalations and root cause analysis activities. Responsible for team artifacts: technical designs, test plans and test results, defect trends, test environments, test automation plans, retrospectives and continuous improvement plans. Managerial responsibilities for direct reports to include: Time allocation trackingSetting goals and objectives for individualsTrainingRegular one on one discussionsAnnual performance reviewsMerit planningEvaluation and approval of expense reports
Job Requirements
BE/BTech/Mtech/MS/MCA in Engineering and related field with 12+yrs of experience. 5+ years of experience managing a software development team, following an agile development process. Working experience with Java, JavaScript, Python, Linux, Databases,SQL. Excellent written and collaborative communication skills. Experience with test and project management tools including Jira, Confluence, MS Office. Familiar with Gitlab and/or other source control management tools. Familiar with Zephyr and/or other test management tools. Experience working in a continuous delivery model using tools such as Gitlab, Jenkins, SonarQube, Trivvy. Working knowledge of Unix/Linux varieties. Working knowledge of TCP/IP network stack including VPN. Working knowledge of network test strategies.
