Role andResponsibilities
  • Ensurethat Tech Refresh security infrastructure at the client site isconfigured installed tested and operational as per the Designguidelines.
  • Support Site survey incoordination with the Vendors from the perspective of Racking Powerand Cabling requirements for the New Firewall as part of TechRefresh
  • Ability to convert configurationmanually or using Tool from Existing Fortinet Firewall to newFortinet Firewall
  • Implementation &Administration Fortinet Firewalls using Forti Manager
  • Installation of new FWs Creating FW config files Creating/ Modifying Firewall policies using FortiManager
  • Validate Stage and Test the configuration in the FortinetFirewall and highlight the gap if any.
  • Ensurethe Integration and compatible working of Fortinet Firewall withNokia Cisco HPE and Aruba Switches during the migration.
  • Implementing High Availability as per the Designguidelines
  • Upgrading the Fortinet Firewallwith latest code
  • Fine tune the FortinetFirewall with industry best practices
  • Available to support the environment during the HyperCare support.
  • Create Handover documentationfor the operations team.
  • Understandrequirements & liaise with customer stakeholders forimplementation.
  • Troubleshooting issues relatedto misconfiguration or connectivity from firewalls /VPN.
  • Coordination with OEM for performance andbugs related issues.
  • Coordination with OEM forbreak fix and RMA issues
  • Performing versionpatch and updates.
Required Skills
  • Typically requires 58 years of relatedexperience.
  • Desired Certifications FortigateNSE4 or relevant professional certification in otherOEMs.
  • Hands on experience on FortiManagerFortigate Firewalls FortiAnalyzer FortiAuthenticator(L3)
  • Excellent understanding andtroubleshooting skills in VDOM IPsec VPN technologies HighAvailability (HA)
  • Experience in manual or Toolbased configuration conversion from old Fortinet Firewall to newversion.
  • Handson Knowledge on products such asFortinet 101E 301E 501E 1101E 2201E 3301E seriesfirewalls
  • Experience of Network/Firewallmanagement managing Security profiles/policies.
  • Ability to understand and troubleshoot various networkproblems using utilities like nslookup traceroute ping net stat andpacket sniffers like wire shark tcp dump etc.
  • Best Practice implementation to increase productivity andreduce downtime.
  • Audit compliance as percompany policy.
  • Knowledge of Fortinet firewalland its integration with Network components
  • knowledge of remote user access technologies includingIPSec VPN SSL VPN Explicit Proxy ZTNA and SWG Proxy.
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of ITILprocesses.
  • Ability to communicate and workacross different cultures and social groups.
