Job Summary:

As a Linux and Apache TomcatAdministrator you will be responsible for the deploymentconfiguration maintenance and troubleshooting of Linuxbased serversand Apache Tomcat applications. Your role involves ensuring theseamless operation of web applications optimizing performance andimplementing security measures. Collaboration with development andIT teams is essential to support the organizations webinfrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Linux ServerAdministration:

Installconfigure and maintain Linux operating systems (e.g. Ubuntu CentOSRed Hat) on servers.

Manage server resourcesmonitor performance and troubleshoot issues.

1. Apache TomcatAdministration:

Installconfigure and maintain Apache Tomcat servers.

Create configure virtual host in Apache webserver.

Deploy update and troubleshoot Javabasedweb applications on Tomcat.

Monitor Tomcat logsand performance metrics for optimal application health.

1. Web ApplicationDeployment:

Collaboratewith development teams to deploy and update webapplications.

Ensure proper configuration andintegration of applications with Apache Tomcat.

1. SecurityManagement:

Implement andmaintain security measures for both Linux servers and Apache Tomcatapplications.

Monitor and respond to securityincidents conduct regular security audits.

1. Performance Optimization:

Identify and resolve performance bottlenecksin both Linux servers and Tomcat applications.

Finetune configurations for optimal resourceutilization.

1. Scripting andAutomation:

Develop andmaintain scripts (e.g. Bash Python) to automate routinetasks.

Implement configuration management toolsfor efficient system and application management.

1. Monitoring andAlerts:

Set up monitoringtools to track the health and performance of Linux servers andTomcat applications.

Configure alerts forcritical events and respond promptly to incidents.

1. Collaboration andDocumentation:

Workclosely with development and IT teams to ensure seamlessintegration of applications.

Create and maintaindocumentation for configurations procedures and bestpractices.

Qualifications and Skills:

BE BTech or MCA with a minimum of 4. years of experiencein relevant technology.

Proven experience as aLinux Administrator and Apache Tomcat Administrator.

Indepth knowledge of Linux systems server administrationand Apache Tomcat.

Experience with Javabased webapplications and related technologies.

Strongscripting skills (e.g. Bash Python).

Familiaritywith configuration management tools (e.g. Ansible).

Understanding of networking protocols and security bestpractices.

Certifications:

CompTIA Linux Red Hat Certified System Administrator(RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) AWSCertification
