Lattice Semiconductor is seeking a Sr Embedded Linux Engineer who would be part of the team responsible for developing drivers and bring up of Linux kernel on a new processor core and packaging the Linux distribution in an industry standard framework like Yocto or Build Root, and subsequent stewardship of the open source project.

Responsibilities & Skills

Accountabilities: 

Be part of the team that ports Linux kernel on to a new SoC with an ARM CPU and associated on-chip and off-chip peripherals. Adhere to industry best practices for packaging and maintaining open source distribution of this Linux port via frameworks like Yocto or Buildroot. Collaborate with Firmware, boot ROM & verification teams to debug, root-cause and fix system bugs be it hardware or software during the platform bring-up on fast-c model, emulation and ASIC board.

Required Skills:

Graduate degree in Computer Science or Telecommunications or similar engineering discipline An accomplished professional with more than 5+ years of experience in Linux kernel porting on a new SoC platform. Experience with storage drivers eMMC, SD, NVMe or SATA. Experience with Virtualization technology like Xen or QEMU is an added advantage. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to thrive in an ever changing, fast paced and sometimes ambiguous environment. Experience and preference for working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment. Excellent communication skills and able to collaborate with engineers, product managers and peers.
