JobSummary:We are seeking anexperienced and qualified Chartered Accountant to join our financeandaccounting team. The ideal candidate willhave 34 years of relevant experience preferably inanindustry setting. The role involvesmanaging various accounting and financial operationsensuringcompliance with statutoryregulations and providing financial advisory services to theorganization.
KeyResponsibilities:
1.Financial Reporting andAccounting: Prepare accurateand timely financial statements (balance sheets income statementscash flowstatements) in accordance withapplicable accounting standards and companypolicies. Manage the accounts payableaccounts receivable and general ledger processesensuringproper recording andreconciliation. Conduct monthly quarterlyand annual closing activities including reconciliations accrualsandadjustments.Analyze financial data and prepare reports for management andstakeholders.
2.Taxation and Compliance:Ensure compliance with relevant tax laws regulations and reportingrequirements. Prepare and file tax returns(income tax GST etc.) within stipulatedtimelines. Manage tax audits and address anyqueries or discrepancies. Stay updated withchanges in tax laws and accounting standards and advise theorganizationaccordingly.
3.Budgeting and Forecasting:Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and forecasts for theorganization. Conduct variance analysisbetween actual and budgeted figures and provide insightsandrecommendations.Support in developing and implementing effective cost controlmeasures.
4.Internal Controls andProcesses: Evaluate andenhance existing internal control systems and processes to ensureaccuracyandefficiency.Identify potential risks and recommend mitigationstrategies. Coordinate with internal andexternal auditors during auditingprocesses.
5.Financial Analysis andAdvisory: Analyze financialdata and provide insights to support strategicdecisionmaking. Evaluate potential businessopportunities investments or collaborations from afinancialperspective.Assist in financial modeling scenario analysis and costbenefitanalysis for various projectsorinitiatives.
QualificationsandRequirements:
Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification from a recognizedinstitute. 34 years of relevant experiencein accounting financial reporting andtaxation. Strong knowledge of accountingprinciples standards and taxation laws.Experience in an industry setting is preferred but not mandatory(CA firm experience isnotrequired).Proficiency in accounting software (e.g. Tally QuickBooks) andMicrosoft Office applications (ExcelWordPowerPoint). Excellent analyticalproblemsolving and decisionmaking skills.Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability toexplain complex financialconcepts tononfinance personnel. Attention to detailand ability to meet deadlines in a fastpacedenvironment.
