TITLE: SHOP ASSOCIATE / TRAINEE (MECHANICAL/ ELECTRICAL )

REPORTS TO :MANAGER MANUFACTURING / EXECUTIVE MANUFACTURING

BASIC FUNCTION:

Main duties include material planning, assembly and testing of various assemblies, achieving production schedules and routine maintenance of the various tools and fixtures used. Responsible for assembly of elevator components. Main duties include setting assembly of components /assemblies, achieving production schedules and routine maintenance of the power tools and fixtures used.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

To Carryout Hazard scans before commencing the Work in respected work Place where the Job is to be performed, & Follows safe work practices & Escalator cardinal Rules at all times Safely operating of machinery , Fixtures, and other equipment as assigned to process product according to specifications and procedures & carryout necessary checks related to work before resuming work. Communicates frequently with team regarding concerns, discrepancies and continuous improvement ideas. Planning the production of handing over contracts for the day after discussion with the supervisor. Routine planning for material required for days production. and to Carry out assemblies as per the day’s requirement Production of parts which includes assembling, wiring, testing and packing of Components as per work instructions and process sheets Carryout TPM of equipment’s on daily basis. To ensure 5S in Shop anytime and every time Flexibility of working hours as per business needs. Meet Takt time with productivity goals with accuracy and quality Ability to meet physical requirements of the job To Ensure the Checklist and necessary quality documents are filled in the Prescribed Formats Follow all Oral instructions given by the Supervisor / Superiors Participate in Various training Programmes Conducted by the Company To Report any unusual Occurrence / Observations to the Supervisor. Participate and Contribute in Continuous Improvement activities – Kaizen Improvement in Process, Product, Safety and Quality.

EH&S DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Ensure that the EH&S management system of the company is implemented in work area. Ensure that SP008 – (Machine Guarding Safe practice) is met wherever it is required. Always ensure safe work practices & Escalator cardinal Rules (perform Hazard Scan, Wearing appropriate PPE and Procedures).

AUTHORITY

Should Not Allow Any Unauthorised persons to operate the Equipment, tools, tester inside the assembly Shop To ensure that LOTO (Electrical/ Mechanical/ pneumatic) is done wherever power is not required.

ACCOUNTABILITY AND MEASURES

 Job Performance Will be measured through Performance Appraisal and In Half Yearly Reviews

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, & SKILLS

Essential : ITI – FITTER / Electrician / Electronics . Experience : Shop associate: 3-4 years of work experience in MFG / Works trainee :-

1-2 years of work experience / Apprentice: - Completion of ITI

Desirable : 1. Knowledge on Crimping, Soldering and Controller / Panel wiring, ( for Electrical )/ Drg reading with basic trouble Shooting Knowledge Other requirement:

Minimum knowledge of English, like read, write, and speak. Must have passport / applied. Willingness to travel abroad ( 4 to 6months) for hands-on training Willingness to learn new language ( Foreign language)

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense and understand the instructions / standard works which are written, oral, or diagram /drawings form.

The employee must frequently lift up to 25 Kgs, with or without assistance (and occasionally more than 25Kgs). Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.

Minimum height of Employee: 5.7 feet or 174 cms

Minimum weight of Employee: 74 Kgs
