This role is for theAustralian Football League (AFL).


KeyResponsibilities:

  • Write 35 pieces per day especiallyon match days (predominantly news articles and fan reactions 350400words each)

  • Conduct exclusive interviews withathletes and influencers ifneeded.

  • Clean & engaging articles noplagiarism falsified facts idea theft cloutfarming or clickbaitingand should not be derogatory in anyform.

  • Keep track of trending topics andbreak them on time.

  • Develop a knowledge base for trendsnews fresh content from creators athletes influencersetc.

  • Review content for factual accuracyand general accuracy of grammar and context.

  • Ensure that content is written asper Sportskeeda s guidelines with respect to language spellinggrammar scope of text and other suchmatters.

  • Ability to work in a robust teamenvironment that is multifaith multinational anddiverse.

  • Provide any other contentrelatedassistance that may be required for any otherarticles

  • Creating tracking mechanisms andrepositories of content sources tracking podcasts social handlesetc. to scout good content forfeatures

  • Working with the Content ManagerAssistant Content Manager(s) and Specialists in identifyingtrending content Article execution and updating/fixing erroneouscontent.


Requirements

  • Excellent knowledge of the AFL allthe teams involved and the standout players. Should be able towatch all the AFL games and write articles during and immediatelyafter the game.

  • A good grasp of the English language(US) and the ability to communicate niche ideas to a widespreadaudience.

  • Should have a knack for crispsentence composition grammar andsyntax.

  • Candidates with the desire to learnand expand their writing skills and to build a robust repertoire ofportfolio of sports related content (fresherswelcome)

  • Relevant experience in writing (Anypast experience is abonus)

  • Should have a working knowledge ofSEO

  • Staying updated with recentdevelopments in and around your chosenfield

  • Having a good eye for analysis andcovering topics around their field including identifying nichesbreaking news finding online interactions tracking social media andmore

  • Excellent time management skills andability to workindependently.

  • Please note The pay/remunerationoffered can vary according to years of experience and quality ofcontent.


  • Note: Australian natives will bepreferred but writers from other countries can apply if they havecomplete command over the sport.
