Senior Associate, Data Transfer, Integration & Quality

We’re seeking a future team member for the role of Senior Associate, Data Transfer, Integration & Quality to join our Payments Enablement Platform, in the Data Services team. This role is located in Pune, Maharashtra, India - HYBRID.

In this role, you’ll make an impact in the following ways: 

  • Analyses and defines data requirements and functional or operational specifications for small to moderate sized projects of limited complexity.
  • Collects and defines business or functional data requirements.
  • Participates in development requirements by analyzing appropriate data sets and creating process flows and identifying changes, focusing on data quality, controls, completeness, and usability.
  • Uses knowledge of business needs to provide data design support for software and application development.
  • Provides supporting data analysis of business issues or client feedback for a specific function or application.
  • Responsible for owning and escalating as appropriate risks, issues, and dependencies at pod level.
  • Supports data testing of new or enhanced applications and/or systems. Tasks include case development, requirement traceability analysis, test preparation, script writing, and functional test execution. 
  • Identifies areas for improvement and works with Data Services pods to improve data business use.
  • Support Product Owner(s) with pod backlog management.
  • Uses general knowledge of regulatory and legal requirements and BNY corporate policies involving risk and control to support the development and enhancement of data sources.
  • No direct reports but may provide guidance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Contributes to the achievement of pod and group objectives.
     

To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and experience is required.
  • 2 or more years of total work experience preferred. Previous data analysis experience preferred. 
  • Knowledge of SQL, Python, visualization tools and techniques, and database architecture is desired.
  • Knowledge of the Agile software development process.
  • Knowledge and experience of project execution.  
  • Stakeholder management experience.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Knowledge and experience in the use of tools such as: Jira, Confluence etc.
