Job Description

Role: Functional Test Lead

Qualification: BTech/MTech/MCA

Job Location: Hyderabad/Pune

Experience: 9+ years

Work Mode: Hybrid

 

 

Roles & Responsibilities:

 

·         Lead and manage the functional testing activities for banking applications, ensuring adherence to quality standards and timelines.

·         Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and test cases based on functional specifications and business requirements.

·         Execute manual testing activities, including test case execution, defect management, and test result analysis.

·         Coordinate with business analysts, developers, and stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage.

·         Manage a team of testers, providing guidance, mentoring, and support to ensure optimal performance and professional growth.

·         Conduct regular status meetings, report on testing progress, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

·         Review test deliverables, provide feedback, and ensure adherence to testing standards and best practices.

·         Monitor testing progress, report on key metrics, and escalate issues as necessary to ensure timely resolution.

·         Collaborate with QA managers and project managers to prioritize testing activities based on project timelines and resource constraints.

·         Stay updated with industry best practices, new technologies, and emerging trends in banking and testing methodologies.



Requirements

Required Skills:

 

·         Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field.

·         9+ years of experience in functional testing with, significant exposure to manual testing methodologies.

·         At least 3 years in a leadership or lead role.

·         Proven experience in testing banking applications such as core banking systems, payment systems, online banking, etc.

·         Strong understanding of banking processes, regulations, and compliance requirements.

·         Proficiency in manual test execution, defect management, and test reporting.

·         Experience in test planning, test case design, execution, and reporting.

·         Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and mentor team members.

·         Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

·         Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
