Overview:

Weare seeking a diligent and detailoriented Procurement Manager tojoin our team in the cosmetic manufacturing industry. The idealcandidate will have a strong understanding of procurement processesexcellent negotiation skills and a passion for maintaining optimalinventory levels while ensuring costeffectiveness. This role willbe pivotal in sourcing raw materials packaging and other suppliesessential for our cosmetic production lines. The PurchasingCoordinator will collaborate closely with suppliers productionteams and other stakeholders to ensure timely delivery ofhighquality materials to support our manufacturingoperations.

Responsibilities:

  • ProcurementStrategy: Develop and execute procurement strategiesto meet production needs while optimizing costs and maintainingquality standards.
  • SupplierManagement: Identify evaluate and onboard supplierswho can consistently deliver highquality raw materials packagingand other supplies required for cosmeticmanufacturing.
  • Negotiation:Negotiate favourable terms pricing and contracts with suppliers toensure costeffectiveness and reliability ofsupply.
  • InventoryManagement: Monitor inventory levels of rawmaterials and packaging to prevent shortages or overages utilizinginventory management systems to track stock levels and forecastfuture requirements.
  • PurchaseOrders: Generate purchase orders accurately andtimely ensuring compliance with company policies andprocedures.
  • QualityAssurance: Collaborate with the quality assuranceteam to ensure that purchased materials meet established qualitystandards and regulatoryrequirements.
  • SupplierPerformance Evaluation: Conduct regular assessmentsof supplier performance addressing any issues or discrepanciespromptly to maintain a reliable supplychain.
  • Cost Analysis:Analyze pricing trends market conditions andsupplier performance data to identify opportunities for costsavings and processimprovements.
  • RiskManagement: Identify and mitigate potential risks inthe supply chain such as supply shortages quality issues orsupplierdisruptions.
  • CrossFunctionalCollaboration: Work closely with crossfunctionalteams including production logistics quality assurance and financeto ensure seamless coordination and alignment of procurementactivities with overall businessobjectives.
  • Compliance:Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements industry standardsand company policies related to procurement and supply chainmanagement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelorsdegree in supply chain management business administration or arelated field.
  • Proven experience in procurementpurchasing or supply chain management preferably within thecosmetic manufacturing industry.
  • Strongnegotiation skills and ability to build and maintain effectiverelationships with suppliers. Excellent analytical andproblemsolving abilities with keen attention todetail.
  • Proficiency in using inventorymanagement software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularlyExcel).
  • Knowledge of regulatory requirementsand industry standards relevant to cosmetic manufacturing (e.g. FDAregulations GMP).
  • Effective communicationskills both written and verbal with the ability to collaborateacross diverse teams and stakeholders.
  • Strongorganizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities ina fastpaced environment.
  • Adaptability andresilience to navigate challenges and changes in the supplychain.
  • Commitment to upholding ethicalstandards and promoting sustainability in procurementpractices.
