The Treasury Risk Senior Manager accomplishes results through the management of professional team(s) and department(s). Integrates subject matter and industry expertise within a defined area. Requires in-depth understanding of how areas collectively integrate within the sub-function as well as coordinate and contribute to the objectives of the entire function. Requires basic commercial awareness. Developed communication and diplomacy skills are required in order to guide, influence and convince others, in particular colleagues in other areas and occasional external customers. Has responsibility for volume, quality, timeliness and delivery of end results of an area. May have responsibility for planning, budgeting and policy formulation within area of expertise. Involved in short-term planning resource planning. Full management responsibility of a team, which may include management of people, budget and planning, to include duties such as performance evaluation, compensation, hiring, disciplinary and terminations and may include budget approval.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing balance sheet and all risk taking activities within institutional policy guidelines and external regulatory constraints. Manages the bank’s foreign exchange, interest rate, liquidity risk exposures and capital exposure. Upholds the bank’s government securities portfolio and other position risks tied to other bank products. Controls the reserve position of the Bank as well as other regulatory requirements related to funding and trading operations. Manages and executes Treasury’s annual business plan to meet/exceed revenue target. Supervises the bank’s daily activities in foreign exchange, money markets, and government securities. Develops relationships with regulators and other market participants through the market’s professional associations. Assists Senior Management Team and Corporate Treasury Head in strategic planning and implementing Citigroup and Corporate Treasury initiatives. Provides inputs in relation to Treasury requirements in the periodic Risk Committee and Board of Directors meetings. Assists higher management in identifying opportunities, risks, and controls. Assists in developing the knowledge and skills of treasury officers. Supervises Treasury Trader. Responsible for coaching, developing and motivating CSI Treasury Trader to achieve superior results. Responsible for achieving satisfactory results in all audit inspections. Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Ability to manage teams.  Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency, as well as effectively supervise the activity of others and create accountability with those who fail to maintain these standards.

Qualifications:

6-10 years work experience in finance or accounting or a related control discipline Must possess strong knowledge of balance sheet composition. Must possess knowledge of system workflows, front-end and management reporting application systems, and knowledge in the utilization of database technology. Treasury experience including asset and liability management is a plus. Project management experience is a plus Ability to lead a eam. Guide the team members in their daily work and career development. Ability to understand and follow the strategic direction charted by the Management. Attention to detail and accuracy are essential.

Bachelor’s/University degree, Master’s degree preferred
