JobDescription:


  • Designand analyze aerospace valves ensuring compliance with industrystandards andregulations.
  • Collaborate withcrossfunctional teams to integrate valves into complex aerospacesystems.
  • Conduct feasibility studiesand provide technical recommendations for valve selection andintegration.
  • Perform detailedengineering calculations simulations and analysis to validate valveperformance under variousconditions.
  • Generate comprehensivedesign documentation including 3D models drawings and technicalspecifications.
  • Participate inprototyping testing and validation processes to ensure thefunctionality and reliability of developed valvesystems.
  • Work closely withmanufacturing teams to address designrelated challenges andoptimize production processes.
  • Stayabreast of industry trends and emerging technologies related toaerospace valves proposing and implementing improvementsaccordingly.


Requirements

TechnicalSkills:

  • Proficientin CAD software (e.g. SolidWorks Creo) for 3D modeling andsimulation.
  • Indepth knowledge offluid dynamics thermodynamics and material science as applied tovalve design.
  • Experience with FiniteElement Analysis (FEA) for structural and thermalsimulations.
  • Experienced in fluentsoftware.
  • Familiarity with industrystandards and regulations governing aerospace valves (e.g. ASMEFAA).
  • Strong understanding ofmanufacturing processes related to aerospace fluidcomponents.
  • Knowledge of reliabilityengineering principles and failure modeanalysis.

Essential:

  • Bachelors or master s degree in mechanical engineering or relatedfield.
  • Proven experience (15 years)preference 2 years in the design and development of aerospacevalves.


Preference:

  • ProfessionalEngineer (PE)certification.
  • Experience working onaerospace projects for defense or spaceapplications.
  • Familiarity withstandards specific to the aerospace industry (e.g.MILSTD).
  • Advanced degree (M.Tech) inMechanical Engineering or relatedfield.
  • Indepth knowledge ofelectromechanical or control systems related to valveapplications.

Requirements: 1. Design and Development: - Develop detailed designsfor layup tools, jigs, fixtures, and tooling to be used in variouscomposite manufacturing processes. - Use CAD (Computer-AidedDesign) software to create 3D models and 2D drawings of fixturesand tooling. 2. Process Analysis and Evaluation: - Analyzemanufacturing processes to determine the requirements for jigs andfixtures. - Analyze composite manufacturing processes to determinethe requirements for layup tools and molds. - Work closely withmanufacturing engineers and production teams to understand specificlayup process requirements. - Evaluate existing fixtures and toolsfor improvements in terms of efficiency and cost-effectiveness. 3.Collaboration: - Collaborate with cross-functional teams, includingmanufacturing engineers, composite technicians, and quality controlpersonnel, to address design challenges and ensure compatibilitywith other production processes. 4. Material Selection: - Chooseappropriate materials for the construction of jigs and fixturesbased on factors such as durability, weight, and cost. - Chooseappropriate materials for the construction of layup tools based onfactors such as temperature resistance, durability, and weight. 5.Cost Estimation: - Estimate the cost of manufacturing jigs andfixtures, considering materials, production processes, and labor.6. Prototyping: - Create prototypes or mock-ups of jigs andfixtures to test and validate design concepts before full-scaleproduction. 7. Documentation: - Prepare detailed documentation,including engineering drawings, specifications, and bills ofmaterials, to facilitate the manufacturing and assembly processes.8. Quality Control: - Implement quality control measures to ensurethat jigs and fixtures meet design specifications and manufacturingstandards. - Collaborate with quality assurance teams to addressand resolve issues related to tooling and fixtures. 9. ContinuousImprovement: - Identify opportunities for continuous improvement indesign processes, materials, and manufacturing techniques toenhance efficiency and reduce costs. 10. Training: - Providetraining and guidance to production personnel on the proper use andmaintenance of jigs and fixtures. 11. Safety Compliance: - Ensurethat designed jigs and fixtures comply with safety standards andregulations. 12. Problem Solving: - Troubleshoot and solve problemsrelated to the performance and functionality of jigs and fixturesin the manufacturing process. - Troubleshoot and solve problemsrelated to the performance and functionality of layup tools in thecomposite manufacturing process. 13. Innovation: - Stay updated onadvancements in manufacturing technology and design principles tobring innovation to jig and fixture development. - Stay updated onadvancements in composite manufacturing technology and designprinciples to bring innovation to layup tooldevelopment.
