The Senior software developer is responsible for monitoring the supply demand in Oracle for release of PO for new / carry over parts & report the procurement progress.

Your main task will be as below:

  • Responsible for monitoring the supply demand in Oracle for release of PO for new / carry over parts & report the procurement progress.
  • Follow up with supplier for timely delivery of material based on MRP.
  • Actively participate in part development by following PPAP / APQP Methodology.
  • Search and qualify new suppliers according Secheron standards, participate at audits performed by Secheron quality team.
  • Evaluate suppliers based on technical requirements of the product & Secheron procedures.
  • Launching RFQ & obtaining quotations from Secheron’s Supplier Panel.
  • Lead negotiation in terms of technical compliance with the project, cost, and Terms and Conditions for categories like Sheet Metal, Proprietary components, Cables, C-class parts etc.,
  • Participate in FAI of the purchased items in supplier facility if necessary and required by the project.
  • Responsible for Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) for assigned product line.
  • Ensure the Supplier Panel Compliance.
  • Analyze procurement risk & deploy mitigation plan during project execution.
  • Closely work with Production & Quality team for QCD alignment.
  • Responsible for NCR & Change Management.
  • Responsible for Inventory management.
  • Prepare monthly MIS reporting & budgeting.
  • Manage Internal request to interco & follow up with overseas team for material dispatch.
  • Follow up with Finance for timely release of payment to suppliers.

Requirements

Required Skill Sets & Qualifications:

  • BE - Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
  • Experience in handling Sheet Metal & Electrical commodities used in our railways panels with basic Machining Process Knowledge
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in Sourcing & Supply chain from Manufacturing industry
  • Must be able to understand engineering drawings.
  • Must have knowledge of manufacturing processes of mechanical parts, understanding of related raw material and manufacturing instructions is mandatory.
  • Experience in localization / VAVE / Competitiveness Programme is an advantage.
  • Experience in a similar position is an advantage
  • Knowledge of ISO quality system,
  • Knowledge of ERP system is essential, Oracle is an advantage
  • Local Suppliers visits and supplier audits is required.
