DevOps Site Reliability Engineer

This is a remote position.

We are looking fora fully remote DevOps / Site Reliability Engineer to join ourgrowing organization. Our DevOps team works closely with our otherengineering teams focused on cloud infrastructure and applicationsto keep the system running effectively. In this position you willcontribute to monitoring and production system and makingimprovements to operational processes andinfrastructure.

keyresponsibilities
  • Writecustom code for multiple purposes(tools IaC configurationetc).
  • Make the production system morereliable and easier to operate through improvements to operationalprocedures tools automations andinfrastructure.
  • Apply knowledge of the latesttrends in the DevOps industry and engage with other engineeringteams to consult and potentially help to implement DevOpspractices.
  • Work collaboratively with otherengineering teams responsible for building the applications andservices that sit atop the cloudinfrastructure.
  • Contribute to infrastructure andprocess improvements that will make all of WellHive s engineeringteams moreefficient.
  • Participate in code reviewsdesign sessions and all sprint ceremonies (stand up sprint reviewretrospectivegrooming)
  • Provide technical leadership(e.g. during designs or in your detailed and constructive peerreviews)
  • Proactively research emergingtechnologies evaluate their suitability in our existing tech stackand incorporate them when business needswarrant.
  • Participate in oncall incidentresolution schedulerotation.
  • Provide coaching and mentoring byhelpingothers.


Requirements
  • 48 years of DevOps andCloud Infrastructure related experience (AWS technologiespreferred).
  • Bachelor s degree in ComputerScience Software Engineering Computer Engineering or relatedfield.
  • Strong proficiency in Splunk(writing queries creating dashboards alertsetc).
  • Strong proficiency inadministering configuring and maintaining ServiceNowinstances.
  • Experience with one or moregeneral purpose programming languages. We use Golang Javascript andTypeScript primarily but we don t specifically require experiencewitheither.
  • Experience with scriptinglanguages like Bash Python andPowershell.
  • Experience with version controlespecially Git and Githubcapabilities.
  • High speed internetconnection.
  • Strong verbal and writtencommunicationskills.

4-8 years of DevOps and CloudInfrastructure related experience (AWS technologies preferred).Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering,Computer Engineering or related field. Education
