:Overview
Network Engineers are responsible for implementing, monitoring and managing the local and wide area networks of an also comprise of improving the efficiency of current networks and increase the network performance through monitoring and role also includes documenting,follow the process for changes,installation of new network and upgrade of network if necessary.
Duties and Responsibilities
As a Network engineer, your roles include:
Implement new solutions and improve stability and resiliency of the network.Monitor performance and troubleshoot and fix network problems by scheduling desired solutions.
Use multiple tools used by organizations to improve the efficiency and performance of the network.
Study the current bandwidth utilization and suggest required solutions for site performance.
Upgrade network equipment by refreshing the devices or by performing software upgrades.
Configure routers and switches,firewalls,Load Balancers and Meraki devices.
Participate in technical discussions and workout for new solutions along with team members.
Engage in troubleshooting calls and support other technical teams and users to resolve the issue.
Take part in projects along with engineering and assist in supporting and providing implementation plans.
As day-to-day operations required to work on incidents and changes.
Speak to customers via phone or email to work towards fixing network issues
Knowledge and Skills
Should have the CCNP knowledge on routing and switching.Excellent knowledge on routing protocols like BGP and OSPF.
Working Experience on Nexus devices like 7K,5K and VPC,Fabricpath concepts.
Excellent troubleshooting skills on Routing and Switching.
Detailed technical experience in the installation, configuration and operation of Palo-Alto firewall products.
Excellent troubleshooting skills in Palo Alto.
Knowledge on Netscaler and F5 load Balancer are added advantages.
Excellent troubleshooting skills in Zscaler.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required.
Education,Experience and Certification Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree5+ Years of network relevant experience
Preferred certifications CCNP(R&S/DC),PCNSE.
ITIL certified preferred.
