JR40431 Principal Engineer, Hardware/System Validation

We are looking for a hardware validation architect to join our team and lead the bench characterization and component level validation of our products. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and executing validation plans, test cases, and test scripts for various hardware components and systems. You will also analyze test results, identify issues, and provide feedback to the engineering teams. You will have knowledge of product validation, Hardware System Validation, expert in DDR/LPDDR protocol and RMT.

Responsibilities:

Define validation strategy and methodology for bench characterization and component level validation of hardware products. Develop validation plans, test cases, and test scripts based on product specifications, design documents, and customer requirements. Perform bench characterization and component level validation using various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc. Analyze test results, generate test reports, and provide feedback to the engineering teams. Troubleshoot and debug hardware issues, root cause analysis, and corrective actions. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as design, layout, Signal Integrity, manufacturing, quality, etc. Support product certification, qualification, and compliance testing Maintain validation documentation and test data. Perform product validation and hardware system validation using various tools and platforms. Validate DDR/LPDDR memory subsystems using RMT tool or equivalent Intel Systems.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or related field 12+ years of experience in Post Silicon Validation OR Bench characterization OR Electrical and Analog Mixed Signal Testing , Hardware Failure Analysis Solid understanding of hardware design principles, architectures, interfaces, and protocols Proficient in using various test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power analyzers, etc. Experience in scripting languages, such as Python, Perl, Shell, etc. Experience in data analysis tools, such as Excel, MATLAB, JMP, etc. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to work independently and in a team environment. Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks. Knowledge of product validation and hardware system validation methodologies and best practices Expert in DDR/LPDDR memory technology and protocol Experience or knowledge in RMT test tool or equivalent for DDR/LPDDR validation
