Description

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Bilingual Project Manager with proficiency in both Japanese and English languages to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and managing projects from initiation to completion, ensuring delivery within scope, schedule, and budget. The ideal candidate should possess strong leadership qualities, excellent communication skills in both languages, and a proven track record of successfully managing cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders to define project objectives, scope, and deliverablesDevelop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones, and resource allocationAct as the primary point of contact between the project team and stakeholders, ensuring clear and effective communication in both Japanese and EnglishBuild and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholdersLead and motivate cross-functional teams to achieve project goalsProvide guidance and support to team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environmentIdentify potential risks and challenges associated with the project and develop mitigation strategiesProactively address issues to prevent or minimize project disruptionsMonitor project budgets and expenditures, ensuring financial objectives are metAllocate resources efficiently and effectively to achieve project milestonesOversee project deliverables to ensure they meet quality standardsConduct regular reviews and assessments to track progress and identify areas for improvementPrepare and deliver regular project status reports to stakeholdersMaintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and project documentation in both Japanese and English

Requirements

Proven experience as a Project Manager, with a successful track record of delivering projects on time and within budgetExperience in IT or software development projectsProficiency in both Japanese and English languages (spoken and written) is essentialStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving abilitiesFamiliarity with project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Scrum, Waterfall)PMP or PRINCE2 certification is a plusKnowledge of Japanese business culture and practicesFamiliarity with project management tools and software
