Blockscheduling available upon request. Cerner. Assessing planningimplementing and evaluating patient care plans in consultation withhealthcare professionals. Evaluating medicalinformation as well as providing direct and individualized bedsidenursing care to preand postsurgery patients.Preparing administering and recording prescribedmedications. Changing dressings insertingcatheters and starting IVs. Adjustingspecialized medical equipment as needed as well as interpreting andrecording measurements. Monitoring patientsvitals and reporting adverse reactions to medications in a timelymanner. Collaborating on discharge planningwith the healthcare team. Answering questionsand educating patients and their families on surgical proceduresand postsurgery care. Maintaining and updatingpatient files medical charts and health records.Adhering to best nursing practices standards andprotocols. MedicalSurgicalNurse Requirements: Bachelors degree in nursing.Certified MSRN preferred.Stateapproved nursing licensure. Atleast two years experience as a medicalsurgical nurse in a similarfacility. Competency in electronic patientmanagement systems such as eMDs Chart and Mediexcel.Extensive experience in monitoring a broad range ofmedical conditions. Indepth knowledge of bestpractices in medicalsurgical nursing.Exceptional analytical organizational and problemsolvingskills. Superb interpersonal communication andcollaboration abilities. Availability to workshifts that rotate between days nights weekends and publicholidays.
