A Special Needs school in Hyderabad iscurrently seeking a dedicated and experienced Clinical Psychologistto join their team. This role is vital for supporting the mentalhealth and emotional wellbeing of students with diverse learningand developmentalneeds.

KeyResponsibilities:
  1. AssessmentandDiagnosis:
  • Conductcomprehensive psychological assessments to identify studentscognitive emotional and behavioralneeds.
  • Diagnose learning disabilitiesdevelopmental delays and other psychological conditions that mayaffect a childs ability to succeed in a schoolenvironment.
  1. IndividualizedSupportPlans:
  • Developand implement tailored intervention plans to address each studentsunique psychological and emotionalneeds.
  • Collaborate with teachers parents andother professionals to create an integrated approach to support thechild s overalldevelopment.
  1. CounselingandTherapy:
  • Provideindividual and group therapy sessions to help students cope withemotional and behavioral challenges.
  • Offercounseling to parents and guardians to support them in managingtheir childs needs athome.
  1. CrisisIntervention:
  • Actas a key resource in crisis situations providing immediatepsychological support to students experiencing acute emotionaldistress.
  1. Teacherand StaffTraining:
  • Conductworkshops and training sessions for teachers and school staff ontopics such as behavior management emotional intelligence andmental healthawareness.
  1. MonitoringProgress:
  • Regularlymonitor and evaluate the progress of students under your careadjusting intervention plans as needed to ensure continued growthandimprovement.
  1. CollaborationandCommunication:
  • Workclosely with other professionals including special educators speechtherapists occupational therapists and school counselors to ensurea holistic approach to student care.
  • Maintainclear and regular communication with parents and guardiansproviding updates on their childs progress and offering guidance onhow to support them athome.
Qualifications andExperience:
  • A Masters or Doctoratedegree in Clinical Psychology.
  • Relevantcertification and licensure to practice as a ClinicalPsychologist.
  • Experience working with childrenparticularly those with special needs or learningdisabilities.
  • Strong understanding ofdevelopmental psychology and behavioralinterventions.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills with the ability to work collaboratively in ateam setting.
