JobSummary:As a licensedpharmacist in Karnataka you will be responsible for dispensingmedications providing pharmaceutical care and ensuring compliancewith relevant laws and regulations governing pharmacy practice inKarnataka. Your primary objective will be to promote safe andeffective medication use while providing excellent customerservice.Responsibilities:
  1. MedicationDispensing:
  • Receiveprescriptions from patients or healthcareproviders.
  • Interpret prescriptions and ensureaccuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Prepare andlabel prescriptions accurately following establishedprotocols.
  • Provide appropriate counseling topatients on medication usage dosage and potential sideeffects.
  1. MedicationManagement:
  • Maintainproper inventory levels of medications and pharmaceuticalsupplies.
  • Monitor medication storage conditionsto ensure potency and safety.
  • Conduct periodicstock audits and manage expiry dates ofmedications.
  • Follow procedures for controlledsubstances and maintain relevantdocumentation.
  1. CustomerService:
  • Assistcustomers with inquiries regarding medications health products andgeneral healthrelated questions.
  • Addresscustomer concerns or complaints in a professional and empatheticmanner.
  • Provide advice on overthecountermedications and healthcareproducts.
  1. RegulatoryCompliance:
  • Adhereto all applicable laws regulations and guidelines governingpharmacy practice in Karnataka.
  • Maintainaccurate records of prescriptions transactions and patientinformation as required by law.
  • Participate incontinuing education and training to stay updated on pharmaceuticaldevelopments and regulatorychanges.
  1. CollaborationandCommunication:
  • Collaboratewith healthcare providers including physicians and nurses to ensureoptimal patient care.
  • Communicate effectivelywith other pharmacy staff members to coordinate workflow and ensureefficiency.
  • Participate in multidisciplinaryhealthcare teams asneeded.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelorof Pharmacy (B.Pharm) degree from a recognizedinstitution.
  • Valid license to practice pharmacyin Karnataka issued by the Karnataka State PharmacyCouncil.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacologydrug interactions and pharmaceuticalcalculations.
  • Excellent communication andinterpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail andaccuracy in dispensing medications.
  • Ability towork effectively in a fastpaced environment and handle multipletaskssimultaneously.
